SPORTS CENTER CONTEST #742

SUNDAY OVER/UNDER

The NFL Playoffs continue on Sunday. There will be two games, but only one looks very competitive. Time for another edition of OVER/UNDER

For those that don't remember, OVER/UNDER is a classic betting term. It's a bet that has nothing to do with who will win the game. Instead, you are betting on whether the TOTAL number of points (or goals, or runs, or whatever) scored by BOTH TEAMS will be OVER or UNDER a certain target number. So when you hear somebody say, "the over/under for this football game is 45.5, that means the target number is 45.5
Anybody betting the OVER is betting that a total of 46 or more points will be scored by both teams in the game
Anybody betting the UNDER is betting that a total of 45 or less points will be scored by both teams in the game

For this edition of OVER/UNDER, we will be asking you to make two predictions
First, you have to predict who will win the game
Second, you have to predict whether the total number of points scored by both teams will be OVER or UNDER the target number
To win your share of the pool, you have to correctly predict BOTH

Seattle Seahawks 51% at Philadelphia Eagles 49%
The 7th ranked Seahawks head to Philadelphia to play the 12th ranked Eagles. The home field advantage isn't enough to make Philadelphia the favorite. Seattle is predicted to win the game by 1.5 points. This should be a real close game.
It is predicted to be an "average" scoring game

The first two games in Round 7 are over...

Once again, it was the favorites that won and ALL but 1 person got it right.
