After Aaron Judge hit a home run in the bottom of the 6th to put the Yankees up by one, Baltimore scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th, and the Yankees never could catch up. However, they did score one more run in the bottom of the 7th, so the final score was 5 to 2

CONGRATULATIONS

Australian swimmers Kyle Chalmers and Mack Horton finish 1-2 in men's 200 metre free at the CGs . . .

ABC report . . .

Kyle Chalmers has claimed gold for Australia in an incredibly strong field for the men's 200m freestyle, adding to Australia's medal tally on a night anticipated to provide a Commonwealth Games gold rush for the host nation.

Chalmers edged out compatriot Mack Horton and Scotland's Duncan Scott and stormed home in an even race to the last, winning in 1:45.56. England's 400m specialist James Guy finished fourth, while Australia's Alexander Graham edged ahead of South Africa's Chad le Clos for sixth spot.

Leiston Pickett grabbed the night's first medal for Australia with bronze in the women's 50m breaststroke, finishing behind England's Sarah Vasey and Jamaica's Alia Atkinson — who set the Commonwealth Games record back in 2014.

Pickett finished behind England's Sarah Vasey and Jamaica's Alia Atkinson — who set the Commonwealth Games record back in 2014.

Australia's Jessica Hansen and Georgia Bohl came fifth and sixth respectively.

Mitch Larkin leads Australia's hopes in the 100m men's backstroke, while Emma McKeon will be vying for gold in the women's 100m butterfly final.

The night's action started with gold and bronze for South Africa as Chad le Clos came in at 23.37 seconds to take out the men's 50m butterfly gold, ahead of Trinidad and Tobago's Dylan Carter and fellow South African Ryan Coetzee.

SPORTS CENTER CONTEST #41

CROSS OVER DAILY DOUBLE

By popular demand, we bring you the first event that includes Cricket.
The Indian Premier League kicks off this Saturday with what will be the first match of many, running until the champion is crowned on May 27th.
(A special thanks to WordDiva for spending a long time explaining Cricket to me and providing me with critical background for IPL 2018 - THANKS WordDiva)

But, since we really can't ignore the Commonwealth Games, it's time for yet ANOTHER DAILY DOUBLE

The first event will be the WOMEN'S 4 X 200M FREESTYLE RELAY, and the second even will be the opening game IPL 2018, the Mumbai Indians hosting the Chennai Super Kings

This will be a Daily Double, so you know the drill. You will have to make the correct prediction on BOTH events to win.

INFORMATION
EVENT ONE - WOMEN'S 4 X 200M FREESTYLE RELAY

Here are the top four contenders and their best time of the season
Australia 7:48:51
Canada 7:55:57
England 7:56:00
Scotland 8:00:00

As you can see, and is starting to be a trend ;) , the Aussies are the class of the Field.
So, the only thing to do is match Australia up against the rest of the Commonwealth
For this contest, you only have two selections, AUSTRALIA or THE FIELD

EVENT TWO - IPL 2018
Here are the ODDS for the opening match:
Mumbai Indians (59%)
Chennai Super Kings (48%)

The home team, Mumbai Indians, are favored in this one, and your two choices here are obvious, MUMBAI INDIANS or CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

What is it?
This is a Daily Double so you will need to predict the outcome of both events to win your share of the pool

How do you play?
To enter this contest, you will need to post the following:
CROSS OVER DAILY DOUBLE
Post either AUSTRALIA or THE FIELD
Post either MUMBAI INDIANS or CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

EXAMPLE POST
CROSS OVER DAILY DOUBLE
AUSTRALIA
MUMBAI INDIANS

Rules:
You have to pick BOTH events correctly to win
Only 1 post per person for this specific contest, any more and all of your posts will be disallowed.

ALL PICKS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
Wed 6:30 AM Chicago (UTC -5)
Wed 11:30 AM GMT (UTC +0)
Wed 9:30 PM Queensland, Australia (UTC +10)
Any picks made after this deadline will simply be ignored.
Any edits after this deadline, and your post will be disallowed.
Please note: Due to the time difference, contests will be closing earlier than usual. You will REALLY have to pay attention to the cut off times.

Reward:
If you guess correctly, you will share the 1000 WRZ$ pool

So it's that easy, just pick two right and you win the DAILY DOUBLE

And a not so gentle reminder :D
The Marketing Poll/Contest #3 is STILL open, and thanks to those that have responded
