The Super Bowl LIV was held tonight at Miami Gardens, Florida and featured the American Football Conference champions, Kansas City Chiefs, taking on the National Football Conference champions, San Francisco 49ers. To win we had to predict who would win and whether the total points scored would be OVER or UNDER a certain target.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs
After a 50-year wait, the Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions once again, after quarterback Patrick Mahomes engineered a stirring fourth-quarter comeback Sunday to beat the San Francisco 49ers, 31-20, at a raucous Hard Rock Stadium. Down 21-10 entering the fourth quarter, and with Mahomes playing the worst game of his career to date, the Lombardi Trophy looked to be heading to San Francisco and the 49ers. But after this season's playoffs we know better than to count out the Chiefs. For the third time in a row they found themselves down by at least 10 points, and for the third time in a row they wound up winning by at least 11. Mahomes threw touchdown passes to Travis Kelce and Damien Williams to give Kansas City the lead, before Williams rushed in a 38-yarder to put the icing on the cake. Mahomes, 24, became the youngest player named Super Bowl most valuable player, one year after he had become the youngest player named league M.V.P. The win also gave Coach Andy Reid his first championship after a long career defined by teams that were always good but could never quite get to the top.
Total points scored was UNDER the 54.5 target.
