Not liking losing the first two games, the Pink Elephants were motivated.
They scored a run and inning for the first 4 innings while holding the Cosmos to no runs.
And then the rains came, delaying the game for over an hour. After the delay was over, the Pink Elephants were unable to get their bats going again. However, the 4 run lead was more than to hold on as the Cosmos could muster only two runs.

And the Pink Elephants are back in the series, trailing one game to two.

While it was kind of a slow event... bookworm28 was accurate, correctly picking that the Cosmos would only score 2 runs, so we have our winner of this SPORTS QUICKIE

Andrew Bogut to leave NBA, Sydney Kings confirm veteran Australian centre will play for them

The NBL has received a massive boost with Boomers veteran Andrew Bogut returning to Australia to play with the Sydney Kings.

The Kings revealed the news on social media on Sunday night, adding that they will hold a press conference on Monday morning to confirm the recruitment of the NBA championship-winning centre.

Bogut became the first Australian to be the NBA's first overall draft pick when he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2005.

His signature is just what the Kings need after finishing seventh last season with 11 wins from 28 games.

Their roster is shaping up nicely with their two guards — Kevin Lisch and Jerome Randle — who are both former NBL MVPs, to run their backcourt.

It has been a long 13 years since the Kings won the NBL championship following three straight titles between 2003-2005 — missing the finals for the last five years.

It has also been 13 years since Bogut debuted with Milwaukee as a 21-year-old.

After seven seasons with the Bucks, he was traded to Golden State where he won a championship with the Steph Curry-led Warriors in 2015.

Ben Simmons has netted a triple-double consisting of 17 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to carry the Philadelphia 76ers past the Miami Heat 106-102 at American Airlines Arena.

Simmons is the fifth rookie in NBA history with a triple-double in the playoffs and the first since Magic Johnson had five in 1980.

JJ Redick scored 24 points, while Joel Embiid had 14 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots. Dario Saric added 11 points as the Sixers took a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 25 points, while Goran Dragic added 20. James Johnson scored 15 points and Hassan Whiteside posted a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.
