Cue up the music... The Olympic cauldron has been lit, marking the official start of the 2022 Winter Games
Yeah, we know they have already run some events, but it's official now

As some of you might know, Sports Center was created for the 2018 Winter Olympics. It was a place to discuss the events, cheer on your country and favorites, and make predictions on the winners while winning some WRZ
And as this year Olympics begin, we will again be it's Mobi home.

So expect to see some non stop Olympic contests
Now, there are MANY MANY different sports to cover, and frankly, we will cover as many as we can, but many will be ignored. Contests will be based on their timing, availability of odds, and lead time considerations. However, if you do want a sport covered, please feel free to post and mention it. We may not be able to do a contest on it, but we will consider it and see if it's possible.

If you go back and review the early Olympic contests, you will see there was a lot of discussion... and people were posting medal updates... and cheering on their countries. And there was some trash talking

And we want that sense of community to continue for these Olympics.
To help facilitate it, Fatima and I will be handing out bonus awards on a random basis to those people that "join the discussion" or even just provide some creative entries... So If you see something like this added to a post:

I really only like live sports, but fortunately, I keep weird hours. They are making an effort to have some good stuff on in US Prime time. I will probably keep it on in the background during the day as well.

Yeah, tape delay was one of the biggest turn offs.

I too prefer Live sports! Intense competition in Olympics is a reason I try to follow some events.

I usually watch the Men's Ice Hockey tournament but I didn't watch last Olympics and I doubt I'll watch this year's. My heart hasn't been into it for a while.

The Men's Alpine Downhill will have its gold medal this Saturday evening here, Sunday morning Beijing time. And while there will be some qualifying rounds, we pretty much know who should make the finals
