Have to say that after the ruling permitting Kamila Valieva to compete after testing positive for trimetazidine has left me pretty much disgusted with the whole shebang. Doping in sports turned me off baseball years ago, horse racing, and this current fiasco, coming during a time when the Russians were already under censure (and f*ck this whole ROC nonsense, they shouldn't be there at all) really just taints the entirety of the games for me.
Which is a bummer. I've always enjoyed the Winter games, even more than the Summer. Hey kids - let's clamp on our skates and slide down an ice chute off a big hill doing arials while target shooting! That's sport, by-god! Clear hearts, full eyes, chapped lips - it was all there.
And now it's a puddle of yellow melting snow.
