Kamila Valieva. Right. Let's do this real quick.
This is nothing more then a Russian con/heist.

So Kamila was clearly taking trimetazidine, a drug that delivers blood to your heart more efficiently, but in her case to practice longer, and she was doing it because clearly they have a masking agent that works pretty good, otherwise she would not be taking it.
But if does not work 100%, and failed. And she won on December 25th of 2021, got tested by the doping agency, and then naturally Russia tests each athlete when they get tested to know what will or won't show up, saw she would get busted, and concocted a plan.
DELAY!
First order of business, make sure that sample does not get tested until after the team event in the Olympics!

Check! Now get it tested and results posted a few days before the free skate.
Check, they release the results a few days later on the 7th of February 2022

And then hold a mock inquiry in Russia, as planned, she appeals, as planned, and goes "See, I'm free to skate! Yea!"

IOC goes, no way, as Russia planned, and says you have to have an appeal with the Independant doping agency, as Russia planned, and she goes OK. But remember, I'm just fifteen years old and not subject to normal rules as per the rules of the IOC! And oh yea, wouldn't you know it, we amazingly don't have enough time for me to mount a proper defense before the Free Skate on the 14th, and don't you agree that not allowing me to compete would be unfair? And the go "I guess..."
You know, as Russia planned back on December 25th of 2021

No medal ceremony? Great! So you screwed over everyone else as well. Fantastic! Way to go IOC
And NOW, as planned, you have her skate in the Women's skate, and win, and can go, "But you let her skate!"
See how that works?
If that sample gets tested before 03, the Olympics haven't begun, so that's not good, they won't let her skate, and they need her for the team event to win gold, and they did!
On Feburary 04-07, there doing the team, so release it on the 7th, and confirm it on the 11th, and meanwhile hold mock inquiry at home, she appeals and wins and that leaves just enough time for a hearing with doping agency, at which point you use their rules against them so that she can skate.
And unlike releasing it after the Olympics, you now have what will be called the IOC blessing. THEY let her skate! The final key to the con/heist. It was as perfect as any thriller I have ever read. Genius when you think about it.
And this will go on for years, and end with them keeping the medals, as they did with 9 of 13 from Sochi, where this is nothing compared to Sochi
And just google if you want to hear the nonsense coming out of Russia and their mouths.
Having said that, if I was to offer up any sort of empathy for her, it would be this. What choice did she have? If this guy can sexual molest 265 girls United States unabated for over 18 years, then I feel pretty confident in saying that a 15 year old gymnast in Russia can be forcibly coerced into taking some heart medication, that sadly enough was only useful for making her skate more in practice then she physically should have.
But no she shouldn't be skating in these Olympics, the IOC is weak and Russia knows that and takes advantage. Sad

Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir react. Good points made.

Testing, one, two, three.
Everything I post is always in good humor and fun.
Unless I'm on my soapbox screaming out crazy, and then well......
