WEEK FIVE

Week five is in the books..
And the week went pretty much as expected for the games we cared about

43 players signed up for this one. And after the first week, 41 players survived
And 34 players survived week two.
In the next brutal week, 16 players were eliminated
All 18 players survived Week 4
So 18 players were left for Week Five

3 different teams were selected...
And just how did those teams do today

FIRST, THE WINNERS!

San Francisco 35 - Arizona 16
San Fran was the favorite pick this week, with 10 players selecting them.
And while it was close early, it turned into a romp.
So 10 people were really happy.

NY Giants 16 - Miami 31
11 players loved Miami, and they were rewarded. This one was over early

Carolina 24 - Detroit 42
This was another blowout, and 3 people were really happy

Philadelphia 23 - LA Rams 14
This one was close early, and could have gone either way. But in the end, the 4 players who picked them survived.

WEEK SIX

NFL SURVIVOR IS BACK!
43 started this journey... And the first week was an easy one
41 remained to play in Week Two.
34 remained to play in Week Three.
All 18 people survived week Four
And all 18 survived week 5
GOOD LUCK TO THOSE THAT SURVIVED!

INFORMATION
Each week, we will provide you with the three valuable pieces of information you will need to make your picks.
FIRST
We will provide you with a list of the Sunday games that you will be asked to pick from.
On this chart, you will see who is favored and by how many points. Obviously the teams favored by the most points have the highest percentage to win


As you can see, Miami, Buffalo, San Francisco, LA Rams and Philadelphia are the best picks (favored by the most points) and have the lowest risk factor.
On the flip side, picking the winner in the New Orleans/Houston game would be very risky since the game has only a 1.5 point spread, meaning it will could be a very close game. And needless to say, picking one of the Underdogs would be really risky and not very smart

SECOND
I play in a Survivor Contest at Yahoo... they provide us with a chart showing what the current percentage is for each team based on THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of players making their picks
Here are the top teams that everybody are picking:

As you can see, the top teams favored by the most points are easily the teams that most people are picking. The spreads and picks are pretty consistent this time. There is some variations due to people having already used many of the teams.

THIRD
As you will note in the rules below, you can only use a team once
Once you have used a team, you can not pick them again in the future (assuming you advance)
To make things easier, I will provide a recap each week of what teams the current survivors have used in the past as a reminder to you so you don't use them a second time
If a person picks a team they have used in the past, we will "try" to remind you that you need to change/edit your pick. But there is no guarantee that we will catch it, so it's all on you to make sure your pick is valid... otherwise, you are an automatic loser if you don't make a change before Kick Off on Sunday

What is it?
NFL SURVIVOR is a contest where you just have to select one of the Sunday NFL games, and predict who is going to win

How do you play?
Just pick one of the teams in the top chart that you haven't used before, and hope they win

To make your pick, simply post the following

PLEASE NOTE: Buffalo, San Francisco, LA Rams and Philadelphia are EXCELLENT PICKS as well. Just be careful not to use a team you have already used

The Rules:
The rules are really simple...
RULE ONE
Each week you will pick ONE of the NFL games on Sunday and post who will win the game
You can choose between any of the Sunday games.
(Note: the London game isn't include since it starts so much earlier than the rest of the Sunday games)
I will provide you with Odds/Point Spreads every week with plenty of lead time for you to make your picks

RULE TWO
If the team you pick wins, YOU WIN
You not only win some WRZ$, but you also earn the right to play in the following week
If you predict wrong, you lose... and you are toast and out of the contest
If you miss a week, you lose...
A tie is considered a loss

RULE THREE
The contest will continue each week throughout the NFL season until there is either just one person left (and they will win the entire GRAND PRIZE) or all the remaining players get knocked out in the same week (and then all the players that made it to that last week will share the GRAND PRIZE)

RULE FOUR
Now here is the kicker and where the strategy comes in...
Once you have picked a team to win, you can never pick that team again in following weeks.
EXAMPLE - If you pick the New England Patriots to win in the first week of the contest, and they win, you can not pick them again in any of the following weeks
So, if you are fortunate enough to keep winning every week, the number of different teams you can select to win will keeping getting less
Eventually, if the contest lasts for many weeks, you will run out of good teams and have to pick some not so good teams

ALL PICKS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
SUNDAY NOON Chicago (UTC -5)
SUNDAY 5 PM GMT (UTC +0)
SUNDAY 7 PM FRANCE (UTC +2)
Any picks made after this deadline will simply be ignored.
Any edits after this deadline, and your post will be disallowed.

Reward:
The Weekly Prize for those that guess correctly will be 30 WRZ$
The Grand Prize will be:
If only one person wins, they will get 500 WRZ$
If all the remaining players get knocked out in the same week, they will share a 1000 WRZ$ Pool

And as an added Bonus... the HONEST BOOKIE would also like to contribute out of his account

First, he will add 50 WRZ$ a week to the pool for every week the contest continues
AND... if by some miracle, somebody actually makes it all the way through the regular season without being eliminated, he will add an ADDITIONAL 1000 WRZ$ to the pool

This contest could last for many, many weeks... or it could end abruptly

So make sure to make your pick for Week Five.
You don't want to miss out on a chance to win weekly, assuming you keep guessing correctly
