Amateur golfer Ali Gibb hits three holes in one in one day

Amateur golfer Ali Gibb jokes she will wake up having dreamt she scored three holes in one in a day. But then she will have her scorecard to prove it was very real.

In a 36-hole round, Ms Gibb, 51, shot three aces in five hours during a club championship day at the Croham Hurst Golf Club in Croydon, south of London.

In a feat that would make even some of the game's greats burst with pride, Ms Gibb shot two on the par-3 fifth hole, and repeated the feat on the 11th hole.

Her second and third aces came within seven holes of each other.

Tamara Tatham first Canadian woman on coaching staff of men's pro basketball team

The Toronto Raptors have named Tamara Tatham as a mentor coach for their G League affiliate, making the two-time Olympian the first Canadian woman to join the staff of a men's pro basketball team.

Tatham, from Brampton, Ont., will join Jama Mahlalela next season and be mentored by the Raptors 905 head coach as the Raptors seek to grow and develop Canadian coaching talent.

Tatham had a successful professional career overseas after starring at the University of Massachusetts for four seasons. She helped Canada win gold on home soil at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto and the 2015 FIBA Americas women's championship in Edmonton. She was also part of the Canadian runner-up team at the 2013 Americas tournament in Mexico City.

She retired from Canada's national team in 2017 and was an assistant coach for the University of Toronto women's squad last season.

"I've played basketball my entire life, started coaching, so I know a lot about the game and I know what I can give to the game, and to the younger generation," she said. "I'm really excited to have this opportunity to really showcase, not just for women, but for the Canadian culture. Jama's given me a huge opportunity as a Canadian coach to learn from some of the best, and that's something I really am excited about."

Brandt Snedeker shoots 59, one shy of PGA record

Brandt Snedeker predicted low scores at the Wyndham Championship -- but not this low.

Snedeker shot an 11-under 59 on Thursday, falling one shot shy of matching the PGA Tour record.

He made a 20-foot putt on his final hole to become the 10th player in tour history to break 60. Jim Furyk set the record with a 58 in the final round of the Travelers Championship in 2016.

"Nobody could see this coming -- trust me," Snedeker said. "As much as I tried to positive self-talk myself into playing good, I didn't see 59 coming today, to be honest with you. ... Luckily, it kind of clicked all day today, and hopefully it will keep clicking for the next three days."

I got Milwaukee to get deep in the playoffs. They've got one heck of a team that hasnt been build like that in centuries. One heck of a General Manager and one heck of Manager. I have a lot of respect for Mike Matheny so with his release I lost all of respect for the brewers. Though the cubs have a great team. They look like a shell of their former selves. Perhaps its cause their closer went down who was having a heck of year. I should know I had Marrow on my fantasy or the fact that their former mvp went down Kris. Most of their starters have been scrambling, Lester, Kendricks. Though I like their aggressive GM moves like getting Cole who I think will do them a lot of good in the Post season. He's always been cold cole in the post. Whatever it is they need a spark despite them winning. The team lacks spirit.

For those of you in the Mobilism Premier League Fantasy Tournament, you will note that I'm off to a "questionable" start... more research is NEEDED

There will be a full slate of games this weekend
2 of them will be the focus of this Contest
And, since the two games feature some solid favorites, if you pick the dog, you also get credit for the win if the match ends in a draw
This will be a Daily Double, and you know the drill. You will have to make the correct prediction on BOTH games to win.
