SPORTS CENTER CONTEST #195 PREMIER LEAGUE DAILY DOUBLE

The 2018-19 Premier League continues this weekend with two exciting games today.
As is the case with a Daily Double, we had to pick the winner in BOTH games to win. The favorites are in bold and red.

GAME ONE
Everton vs. Southampton / DRAW


Everton were looking for their first Premier League victory of the season. It was the first home game of the season for them as they returned to Goodison Park to take on Southampton who were hoping to land their first PL victory under Marco Silva.
Walcott opened the scoring at the end of a smart free-kick routine and young Brazilian Richarlison extended Everton's advantage with a header after Jordan Pickford directed Ings' effort on to the woodwork.
Saints stepped up after half-time and former Liverpool striker Ings scored his first for the hometown club, but the visitors struggled in terms of defence and discipline and were unable to draw level as the Toffees held out for three points.

GAME TWO
Chelsea vs. Arsenal / DRAW


Arsenal faced Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today after having been beaten by Chelsea on five of their last six visits. Pitiful defending by Arsenal in the opening minutes helped Pedro sidefoot the ball into the bottom right to lead 1-0 in the 9th minute.
Arsenal's squad seemed unbalanced, and they looked short of pace and quality at centre back. They had many missed opportunities to equalize earlier than they actually did.
In the second half, Chelsea had 88 percent of the possession and Arsenal continued their struggles hoping for a Draw result but Mendoza’s goal in the 81st minute helped seal the deal for Chelsea.

It appears I read the NASCAR schedule wrong and the Monster Energy Series race for this week is tonight and not on Sunday
