And in case you missed it the cubs got Murphy. Probably the spark they needed as he is a spark player. But would them put him in his valued spot at 2 and take the "mvp" out of his position or lower his value. In either case he might not be enough as he's been injured most of the year.

It was a big add for the Cubs... they need a spark, and he can provide it.
He's also been a Cub Killer and has monster stats in Wrigley Field
And we really didn't give up much for him. The question will be who will sit to make room for him. Russel is the likely candidate since he's been ice cold.
Hopefully he will wake the offense up. 5 straight games with only a single run is not good

Mean while the dodgers have been scoring tons of runs and so far for Machado not hitting.

He does provide a spark and might turn into a leader but I think the reason he's cheap is that he's a salary dump who probably doesnt have much range and isnt hitting monsters number like he usually does. I think they should move Baez to third. Though Russell to me has never been that good a hitter and never really understood the hype. They are probably better with him their defensively. I personally wouldve liked Kris at short. Strop has been way better than expected at closer. Given them a lift. I think barring injury Daniel just might be the spark they need for the rest of the way. If not the ship will sink.

NFL Football and College Football are right around the corner... but Friday night is still all about baseball for now. And this Friday night, there are two teams that are desperate to win, and fortunately, they are playing some real dogs

So, it's time for another edition of UNDERDOGS
For those not familiar with the term, Underdogs are the exact opposite of the Favorites. The term is usually shorted to simply "the dog". When you hear the expression, "who is the dog in this match", somebody is asking which team or player is not the favorite. The term is usually only used when somebody or some team is really over matched.

For this Friday Night Baseball edition of UNDERDOGS, we will provide you with two games. Unlike Slaughter Rule where we are asking you to pick which one will lose by the most points, here we are simply asking "Will both of these teams lose?"

Your job will be simple... Say YES, which means you think both will lose, or Say NO, which means you think at least one of these two teams will actually win.
So, it doesn't get any easier than this, just a YES or a NO
