Speed Version

What is it?
  • A contest where players use dice rolls to move each of their four tokens around the board to bring any two of their tokens home safe.

How do you play?
Opening round:
  • Post here if you’d like to play. You must post in the opening round in order to play subsequent rounds.
  • The first round will be open for at least 24 hours, at the end of which players will be randomly assigned to a board with three other players.
Subsequent rounds:
  • 2 random dice will be rolled for each player.
  • To bring your token into play (to your own colored start square marked by an arrow) either 1 or 6 must be rolled.
  • The 2 numbers rolled can be used separately or as a sum. Example: Dice 2 and 3 can be used to move a token 2, 3 or 5 squares. HOWEVER, if a token is being brought into play, then a sum may NOT be used. Example: Dice 2 and 4 cannot be used to move a token to the start square.
  • Each player can bring a maximum of one token into play each round. Examples: Dice 1 and 6 can be used to bring a token to the start square and move it 6 squares. Dice 6 and 5 can be used to bring a token to the start square and move it 5 squares.
  • Each player can move a maximum of two tokens each round. Example: Dice 3 and 5 can be used to move one token 3 squares, another token 5 squares, or any one token 8 squares.
  • Deciding to use either one or both dice, and moving either one or two tokens is entirely up to the player. If no move is available, then post "no move". If a move is possible, then it must be made.
  • No two tokens can occupy the same square at any given time.
  • An opponent’s token can never land on your start square.
  • If you post a move that lands you on a square with another token or on a start square, it will be invalid.
  • Tokens move around the board in a clockwise fashion from start square to home. Example: a red token would move around the board from start square #1 to square #40 and through squares A, B, C and D (i.e. the homestretch) to enter home (see sample board).
  • Any token must land on the homestretch before they make it home. Example: a red token on square #40 cannot use a 5 dice roll to enter home, but a blue token on square M can roll 4 to get home (see sample board).
  • Only an exact roll can be used to bring a token home, no sums are allowed. Example: a blue token on square M can use a 4 dice roll to get home, but not the sum of dice 3 and 1.
  • Make sure you keep an eye on what other players on your board have posted that round, as that may change your available moves. ;)

Rules:
  • Post your Board# with each move.
  • Only 1 post per player per round.
  • No editing can be done after a new round starts or you will forfeit all your moves that round.
  • Where a post has been edited resulting in duplicate moves, then the last one in time gets disallowed.
  • You may not claim dice from a round if you miss posting.
  • If a player has not posted in 2 consecutive rounds, then they may be replaced at the contest moderator's discretion.
  • The opening round will remain open for at least 24 hours. Subsequent rounds will remain open for 24 hours unless all eligible players have posted, in which case it may close sooner.
  • Players must bring all their tokens into play, however, the game will end when five players have brought any two of their tokens home, and posted LUDO.

Rewards:
  • First player to post LUDO wins 250 WRZ$.
  • Second player to post LUDO wins 225 WRZ$.
  • Third player to post LUDO wins 200 WRZ$.
  • Fourth player to post LUDO wins 175 WRZ$.
  • Fifth player to post LUDO wins 150 WRZ$.
Note: The minimum amount anyone can win is 150 WRZ$.
