What is it?

A contest to test your imagination.

How do you play?

Every round a different story will be hinted at. We provide the start and the end of a story and you have to fill in the middle part.

Time? You’ve got 1 hour since the start of the contest after which it will be closed and the entries checked.


Rules:

• Only one post per person per round. Any more and all of your posts will be ignored.
  
• NO copying your neighbours. Your story has to be unique and different from the other posters.
  
• No need to write a book. Min 20 words, max 100 words please.
• Readable English only.
• Giberish won’t be accepted. Text has to make sense and complete the plot from our first line to the last line.
• Nothing offensive please!
• No photos, no gifs, no videos. Only writing.
  
• You can edit your post while the contest is open because not everybody cna tpye the first time … or the secnd. But be careful because the time stamps will be checked in case of duplicates.
• Where a post has been edited resulting in duplicates, then the last one in time gets disallowed.
• A duplicate entry is the one with the same plot or concept even with different words.

Example post:

The woman was walking her dog when she happened to cross a forest. She was shortsighted so she didn't see the tiger eating her little dog as a snack. She went back home still holding the leash.

She was returning it to the pet shop as she realised after keeping it for a week that it required great care and attention, not to mention a lot of daily walking time.

She heard from a friend that cats were a lot more independent and required no walks at all and tend to look after themselves but will still greet you and allow you to pet it whilst at home.

She decided on a cute little kitten that looked kinda fierce... it will surely be independent... a year later she wondered why it's grown so big.

He was amazed at her dog with 6 legs that offered her to trade any animal that he had for her dog. The woman had always wanted a tiger, so they swapped and she ended up taking a tiger home with her.

She was house-sitting her for friends while they were stuck abroad because of the covid. But now, she can go and get her own pet back from the zoo, where he was busy all these weeks enjoying making nice little cubs for when people will be able to visit again.

A woman walks out of her home with a dog. On the way to the animal park, she is waylaid by her sister, who is leading a cute cat. After chatting with her sister, the woman walks away, grabbing the wrong leash. The woman comes back home with a tiger.

Her cute little dog was very smelly as it had some bowel issues, the odour her little pet emanated was very attractive to the cats in the neighbourhood and of course the largest of them all. Her little pooch was also very lonely, so when the big ole cat showered the pooch with love it was a match made in heaven. Since the woman loved her little fiffy so much she also had to bring fiffy's new love interest home, soooo......

On her walk she stopped to visit a friend, who made costumes. She hadn't thought to dress her dog up for Halloween, but her friend offered an idea. They chatted for a couple of hours while she worked, and when she was done the dog had a tiger costume to wear. She dressed it up for their walk home.

In front of her house, she sees a neighbors' boy, clutching a dirty stuffed toy to his chest.
"What happened," she asks.
"I fell," the boy answers, "and my tiger got mud on it."
"Watch my dog, boy. And I will wash your tiger for you and then bring it back."

A woman walks out of her home with a dog. The dog's fur was terribly over-grown and there were a few mats lurking in the fly away hair. So she headed to the latest hot groomers in town. As she drops him off the staff asks her what her favorite color was. Puzzled, she answered "orange". "Got it!" said the receptionist "Pick up is a 3." When she saw her dog she was speechless. The woman came home with her dog dyed to look like a tiger.

Not just any old dog. It was a stuffed dog which she didn’t find interesting any more. She went back to the taxidermist from where she got the dog from and asked if she could exchange for another animal.

She picks up her daughter at school, and they take the long way home and walk through the park where they find a stray cat. The daughter falls in love instantly, and they decide to adopt it. The woman calls the vet to schedule a check up for their new cat. The woman thinks the white and black stripes are unusual and attractive, and makes a mental not to ask the vet about the unusual coloring of the stray cat.

She took him to the Forbidden Forest. Then and there, she offered him as a sacrifice to get something stronger, manlier and more magnificent. The Sorcerer accepted her offering and asked what she wanted.
“Something which is more pleasing to the eyes, in place of this hideous creature !”, she hollered.

She walks down an empty street. Several cars pass her by but she's focused at the large paw peeking out from the corner. Moving closer she sees it's a tiger's paw and two yellow eyes stare at her. Confused,she picks up her dog to make a run for it but he kicks her and runs away. Several seconds pass by and she feels that her hand is wet. Looking down she goes into a state of shock : tiger is licking her hand. At the same moment her ex calls and tells her he's coming to her apartment to pick up some things he left. In a out-of-body state of mind,she starts to slowly back away from the tiger but it starts following her. Now angry she yells ' stop following me!' . Tiger just freezes and says 'i wanted to cheer you up,you seemed sad'. At this point a woman is sure that she's hallucinating but tiger just nudges her hand an says 'shall we?' . Remembering that her ex will be at her apartment at any minute she replies 'yes' and smiles.

The woman comes back home with a tiger.

It is prolly more than 100 words long but hey, who am I to put limits to imagination -Mouse
