Hi, matina. Sorry to hear that you're still sick. Hope you feel better tomorrow. I had a blood test, ECG and a chest X-ray at 3 pm this afternoon, in preparation for my op next Wednesday. Not much to report, really. Checked my mail and came home. Quiet here this evening with the fuzzies. Have the fire going. Very cosy.

matina, thanks for your good wishes. I'm now all ready for my cataract op on Wednesday, out in Lithgow, and will start my special drops on Sunday. Had a good talk with my brother last night. He's back driving his truck, which I guess he's allowed to do, but he can't lift anything heavy. He saw his eye, nose and throat specialist yesterday and has a new treatment for his persistent hoarseness. But at least he's not coughing now.

Katy, after I get my new lens I'll have to head over to the optomestrist for new glasses. That should fix me up. But I don't need any plaid shocks. No need to risk cracking my new lenses! 8 degrees up here today and cloudy. Cockies arrived late, giving the rosellas a chance to pick up some seeds. No plans today, so I'll take it easy. Hope you enjoy your own reading.

matina, hope you're feeling better today and have a nice, quiet Sunday. Sunday the 20th (actually tonight for me) is Father's Day in the US, and my brother will be guest of honour at a big family get-together at his second son's house on the lake. However, because of the 14 hour time difference, guests will only start arriving after midnight our time.

Katy, it's 9 degrees and cloudy up here right now . . . not at all windy, so I sat out on my patio with Sunnya for a while. Felt a bit chilly, though, so now I'm back in my warm recliner chair, watching the cockies and rosellas. Yes, my brother needs to keep busy, so they're trying to find easy jobs for him. He's a hard man to keep down. Loves his tractor and excavator and truck work. However, he told me that now that his lung pain and back pain have gone, and he's getting enough sleep, he hasn't felt better for months.

I have about a hundred of those drone pictures taken by my son, and am always amazed when I look at them. The Blue Mountains really have a spectacular landscape. Will post a few more in the future.

The day before yesterday I was over at my doctor's office picking up my prescriptions and a referral, and snapped this gray wintery shot down Katoomba Street.

matina, sending lots of good wishes. Hope you're feeling better today. I phoned my brother last night for American Father's Day. He was on his way to attend a family gathering at his son's house on the lake. It was a beautiful summer's day there.

Katy, it's even funnier when the cockies sit on the table right in front of the window and stare in at me at close range. Sometimes there are 20 or 30 of them. They're so annoying at times, but are so intelligent and entertaining that I can't really get mad at them. Am taking my special drops and spoke to the Lithgow Hospital people and to my surgeon's offsider this morning, so I guess I'm really going to have my long-delayed second cataract op on Wednesday. This time my arrival time is 9:45 am, so I won't have to get up so early. 8 degrees here right now, and kind of rainy.

Kathy goodluck to the poor teenager anything to do with the eye is super painful. loved the hair wash i love the scalp massages they are awesome!
PJ any chance they can send a pic or 2 of the house by the lake?? love to see that too Maine is so picturesque. those cockies not only have cankles but OMG i cant believer those rascals can fly with all that weight he looks to be the size of a chicken oh and no neck it looks like his head is glued to his shoulders. at this rate your going to be arrested for animal cruelty you may be able to see them better after the cataract operation good luck with that on Wednesday tomorrow another busy day for us.

matina, those cockies seem to be doing quite well and don't have many complaints. However, I might keep my eyes open for some special 'Weight Watchers' wild bird seed. Hope you're feeling a bit better today. Yes, I'm sure that I'm going to see everything better after the operation tomorrow. Am now taking my second type of eye drops, having had the first four times a day for the past three days. Feedback is that I shouldn't stop my blood thinners this time. Anyhow, am optimistic.

Katy, some sun earlier today but it's cloudy again and 10 degrees. No rain, though. I decided against a sit out in the backyard and am now doing computer work while simultaneously watching cockies. I gave them an extra feed just now, because there were so many today.

Here's another view of my neighbourhood, taken by my son's drone a few years ago. I always get a mild shock when I realise that I'm living right out in the valley, on a slim point of land, surrounded by the National Park. But I do get nice views and my cockies fly down into the valley every night, to find nice gum trees out of the wind.

went to GP all went well. made a few visits today and have only just got home i need to get a few things organised home day tomorrow then we are off again with podiatry appointments etc etc on Thursday and another appointment at the GP for my blood test results and some form filling in to get done then i can lodge the form to NDIS and all can settle down from there for the tiny foreseeable future ( i am sure there will be more to be done once they received it and processed it)

PJ weight watchers seeds lol isn't it all about the grains these days i think in your case it should be PORTION CONTROL!!! otherwise they will need their own flight number when they come in to land and take off Penrith Airport we have cockie squadron 1-25 coming in. all planes please commence and hold in your current holding pattern till further advisement, and watch out for those feathered flyers. we will advise when PJ's all you can eat buffet gorging has commenced to reinstate plane decent and landings. thank you all for your co operation.
However on a more serious note PJ I hope all goes well for your operation tomorrow and that you are home faster than you can say what happened. I hope it has the best outcome for you and that you can finally see the TARTAN!! one must be able to see the good and bad
