Jep, makes it easier. I don't know if you can do it in your country too, but in Belgium its possible to go to information days of different studies, sometimes you can even see them working/ practicing and ask questions at the students (I'm a dentist, and at our faculty that was the case). Sometimes you can even follow some courses with them... Should give you a better idea.
