i mean i use the emoticons to give more meaning to what i write. a written conversation is not as clear as a spoken one. the same sentence can mean very different things according to the way i emphasize some words and not others. so if i use the wrong emoticon the meaning changes...

true. i only asked because i saw LockHood using that emoticon and i didn't know what it meant. i haven't seen it in pidgin, that's what i use to talk to other people...
it's a little disconcerting being used to the way you obtain an emoticon and discovering that you get something different using it here. and now i found out that the which i used previously in some of my other posts was used wrong and i should have used .
