Well, people are now slowly beginning to understand that everything they posted on the interwebz is going to stay there and be accessible for a VERY long time. Ten years from now, those funny pictures you took of yourself in funny circumstances/positions might prevent you from getting a job.

They estimated that people give facebook ( and all the other companies like google, microsoft and everything, including browsing information via tracking and cookies) information about themselves that is worth about $30 a month or something along those lines, and you won't see one cent of it....
