Uh...well it's the city, and some people steal license plates for all sorts of criminal reasons...
Anyway, I contacted the police and if anyone uses my plate it will get flagged and they'll intervene. But either way, I have to get a new one. Too bad I can't get reinbursed for the loss of days of work and however much it'll cost for the replacement. Thank goodness it wasn't my car that was stolen though so I'll count my blessings...
