pj, i'd like a cup of that please
Have fun, win prizes, participate in our contests!
Stretton, all well here. Except that it's very, very windy right now. My koala-researching son had to stay and work with his furries while his children, my grandchildren, were visiting. Current Aussie export restrictions prevent my sending out lots of koalas, Ice, especially the exceptionally cute ones . . . but I'll see what I can do!

Ice, thanks for the two rewards for 'Wherefore Art' . . . which were two more rewards than I expected, under the circumstances! I had less than five minutes to find four suitable paintings, from a standing start, so getting two 'in under the wire' was a great surprise . . .

Stretton, near-cyclonic weather here doesn't even begin to compare with matina's terrible recent weather . . . almost a once-in-a-century event, exacerbated by the weird total collapse of the South Australia power grid. Once summer comes, however, our own constant worry about bushfires will begin! That's the downside of living in the middle of the National Park!
br bear, good night and sleep well!
Ice, I really surprised myself. However, it appears that Alessa can do as much or more on a tiny mobile phone with no keyboard! (BTW, when I travelled around the world many years ago, I kept a metal Coke bottle cap from every country I visited. Still have them all in a leather bag. That was in the days before cans and plastics bottles. But matina doesn't want me to tell everyone what year it was!)
matina, just sent you a PM.
Alessa, you must be working hard today.

Good morning!
Good night, bear!
Hi! @ pjm, Ice, Stretton
pjm, that was one adorable baby koala.
Never seen them up close but would love to one day.
Just woke up less than an hour ago. Wasn't terribly busy as the correct guess was "Less" this time and most people posted "More."

Alessa, I was very lucky with a couple of other contests today, so guess I'll have to lose 'Less or More' once in a while! Glad you liked the tiny koala. My son will start a new research project after Christmas and I'm not sure if it will include koalas. He's become a bit of a specialist now. However, some years ago he did a study involving the 'Lesser Sooty Owl' up in the mountains of Queensland . . .

g'night everyone
Hope we get to chat sometime soon!
Good night!
pjm, that's a great picture of your son with the owl. That owl sure got some big red eyes.
I missed a few contests today since I was asleep
There were some nice Coca Cola pictures
Alessa, here's a better shot of the little owl, a fairly rare one. I spent 2-3 days with my son in the Lamb Range, behind tropical Cairns, visiting the research site (a big tent). Those mountains, which divide the Atherton Tablelands from the Coral Sea coastline, reach 1500 metres and get frost, even at those latitudes. That was more than ten years ago . . . can't believe it.
