I was just gonna type a Glenn Coco (Mean Girls) joke but felt too deflated. I'm still too sad.

I have my TV on mute. Too soon. My heart literally hurts.

Even just watching Trump makes me vascillate between a rage meltdown or feeling hopeless. Reason & sense were supposed to triumph over irrational fear! How did people let it come to this?

Hillary will not speak. Not a good look on her part.

Surprising positive praise for Secretary Clinton, and thanks to her for her many years of service to the US. Call for unity among all Americans. Good to hear this. Hard to fault this acceptance speech, I guess.

Nope, not listening. This man has never stood for anything in his life. Any conciliatory words coming out of his mouth will only sound like pandering to my ears. TV still on mute. Just watching the stock market bleed as the rest of the world just start to wake.

Hopefully after the initial shock people in America will find a way to heal and move on
@Zoie I think it's best for her no need to brawl her eyes out on National TV

Prime Minister Turnbull now speaking live in Oz . . . Swearing in for the President-elect Trump will only take place on January 20th. Very different from the Westminster System, such as Australia and Britain.

A person who has no political experience, who is a reality star will be President...

But it's not as if it's a first. The United States elected Ronald Reagan way back when, and he was just an actor.

I'm not gonna start being one but I've never sympathize for anarchists before today.

Reagan was a governor before becoming president. Republicans just voted a literal talentless product of nepotism into office today.

@Hizzy

I believe she is devastated, and I do not fault her one bit. But everyone gives a concession speech. If roles were reversed and Trump didn't give one, people would be going on and on about how classless he is. She shouldn't allow the narrative that she is too emotional to give a speech. That is why a lot of men and women didn't vote for her -- because they felt she was too emotional (female) to be president.
