I'm coming down with a cold again. This rollercoaster weather is just not helping matters.

That's a fun picture of Sunnya. Did she catch any butterflies?

Alessa, she's a very enthusiastic bug hunter . . . don't like to see her catch butterflies . . . but so far they seem to have escaped. Last night she caught a moth, though. I try to rescue them!

Ok, I hope she scared some of the spiders away then.

Alessa, I misread your last post and thought you said it was getting cold. Knowing where you live, I should have realised that this wasn't quite right! So I do hope you get over your cold quickly, and that you'll enjoy the movie. The 'kittens' (now a year old) like to watch the huntsman spiders on the walls of the house, but I protect all the spiders and put them outside if it looks like they're going to be caught. I think I told you that my grandmother taught me to never, ever harm spiders. So over the years I've rescued even the venomous ones, like funnelwebs and redbacks, and taken them out into the bush. But most of the spiders around here, like the very big huntsman spiders, are completely harmless and keep down the numbers of flies and mosquitoes inside the house. It's hard to photograph Rishi, but here's one from yesterday . . .

and I don't think I could be that kind to spiders... I don't them at all...

br bear . . . I now have three Persian cats . . . Cosmo, who will be 15 next month; and Rishikesh and Sunnya, who are sisters, just a year old. I used to have a great many Persians, and was even showing them, back in the 1980s. Over the past four years, I lost three of my old Persian friends, one by one . . . hence my new 'kittens' . . . My grandmother must have made a strong impression on me . . . I just can't bring myself to kill spiders. I guess I might do it in self-defence, but fortunately it's never come to that! (Am deliberately not posting pictures of Australian spiders here!)

why not PJ let them see what we have to put up with or maybe the jelly fish that have recently killed 3 tourists in the great barrier reef ;-(

Can't wait for the next one as it will have Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.
