br bear, when I was 11, I used to put frogs and crickets down the back of girls' dresses, but that was a very, very long time ago; and I quickly discovered that it wasn't the best way to get the girls!

Good to hear from Alessa too. A beautiful and sunny day here in the mountains and looking more and more like summer.

Oh sure PJ rub it in!!  Although to be honest it doesn't look like winter here yet...  Which is really bizarre that we don't have snow yet... My sister's birthday was on the 17th and before this year she had never had snow on her birthday only twice before in her entire life, this year will make the third... really weird... oh well I'm sure it will get here eventually... :D :D

I'm loving the pictures!! :D :D

Thanks, Stretton! I can use a web cam to see the main street in my brother's town, not far at all from New Brunswick, and I guess I'll stick with the weather here in the Blue Mountains, although it's much cooler than (nearly) sub-tropical Sydney!

The 17th is my grandson's birthday too! My son's family had a Laotian university student living with them a few months ago, and they took him (and my teenage grandchildren) to Perisher (in the Snowy Mountains) to see snow for the first time! I told them all that's it fun the first time, and the second time, but after 5 months of winter, you've had enough! Anyhow, no snow yet in Maine this year. We had only a few flurries here in the Blue Mountains this past winter, but some decent snowfalls in the previous year. I think I already sent pictures to Alessa and matina and maybe Nic0le.

Sending you a photo of some very chilly kangaroos in the snowfields . . .

Hey that's cool about the street camera, you'll get to tease your brother about his crappy weather...  Nova Scotia has a ton of them and I keep track of some of them... I would eventually like to retire over in that area, so I want to see what I might be getting into... :D :D I think the camera's all around the world are a great idea!! Very interesting!! :D

Yes, I agree, at first the snow is OK...oh how pretty... but come February we're all ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

Those 'Roos aren't lookin' that impressed!! :D ...but the Polar's are right at home!!  Funnily enough I'm lying down just like that Polar Bear, slap a laptop on her belly and call her Stretton

Hi all

It'd never snow where I am, too close to the equator, but I've seen snow overseas and I loved it! I guess it's different when you're holidaying for a short period..

Winter wouldn't be so bad if I had a garage... to unbury the car and scraping the windows is the WORST!!

and then the ultimate scraping... the dreaded...

No snow in these parts right now . . . was supposed to be 39 degrees (102 F) today down in Penrith at the base of the Blue Mountains. Was a mild 23 degrees up here at 950 metres . . . too warm for even snow flurries!

And good night, Ice!
