Katy, wow! Was 39 degrees down the 'hill' in Penrith two days ago and might be similar there today. However, we're lucky up here, and 30 is usually about the tops. Wind is trying hard to dry everything out now.

br bear, I do seem to get my time zones mixed up! I have to remember that my brother is in EST, in the US, and that's 16 hours behind our current AEDT here. Anything before midnight is early in my book . . .

I'm really pleased to have discovered it about a year ago, and am only sorry that other parts of Sydney don't (as far as I know) offer anything similar. Love checking the wind speed, temperature, barometric pressure (even cloud height) in real time. Very entertaining while I'm watching the events out the window. I'm about 3 kms to the east of the actual weather station, and more down on a point (Sublime Point) that sticks out south into the Jamison Valley, so sometimes my own thermometer varies. But it's close enough. Anyhow, still showing only 25 degrees in Katoomba, but the wind has been gusting up to 45 kph. My house gets hit by the wind from the west and sometimes shakes, while the chimney howls a bit!
