Good morning with a Christmas flavour to matina and Alessa . . .



This is the house in the neighbourhood with (by far) the most Christmas lights! The photo doesn't do it justice. They also play Christmas carols . . . Walked around last night looking at all the decorations.

This is going to be a hot, hot day in the Sydney area . . . but probably not as hot as Adelaide.

Katy, most of the shops along Leura Mall have decorated windows, and I took a few shots of Christmas trees especially for the 'Show Me Yours' contest! It's only 27 here in the Blue Mountains right now, but I suspect it's a lot hotter down in Penrith, at least in the high 30s. In the spring, we have a fairly famous 'Garden Festival' here in Leura, and all proceeds go to the local Katoomba Hospital.

Lots of people coming down with the cold over here. My mom has a cough with whistling and I'm afraid it might be bronchitis. I also have a cough, so I'm hoping she isn't contagious and makes my cough worse. She refuses to go to the doctor and is just taking over-the-counter meds.

Alessa, your mother should really see a doctor. The older you are (like me), the more these seemingly minor illnesses can get out of hand.

I just hope she goes to a western doctor and not a traditional Chinese medicine one. They are useless and take forever to "cure" the illness.
