Good afternoon (again) matina and Katy and Alessa! Let's start over again . . .



Putting all the clues together, I think my earlier problem was caused by an unstable, intermittent mobile phone signal. That would explain most of the frustration. So I don't think I can blame Mobilism Images at all. The same thing was happening with 4-5 other web sites I frequent. Right now, I'm getting a better signal (I think) and a more stable one. It's a bit slow but I'll live with that. Am thinking of spending Saturday and/or Sunday afternoon over at the Katoomba Library.

Hi to Belle and John. And also br bear and Ice if you're still around.

Katy and matina, it's warmed up a bit here (18 degrees when I was out in the car just now) so I'm thinking the very cool weather is finished for now. Actually had to turn the central heating on twice in the past two days!

Took a few 'Night Possum' shots but none turned out very well. As soon as I approached the window, they headed off for the gum trees at considerable speed.

Trust everyone else is well.

Off now to check on my PMs and e-mails and maybe even do a few contests. Am very sad that SMY is down temporarily. I always looked forward to seeing all the new pictures every day.

Just checking in to say good night to everyone. Seem to have a more stable connection with the local GWH mobile phone tower this evening.

John, I got a few of shots of the brushtails before they ran off, but none were very clear. The iPhone camera doesn't do its best work at night. I thought the picture of the baby possum 'hiding' and watching from behind the post was kind of cute. His mother eventually returned and retrieved him.

matina and Katy, just after 11 here and am about to start getting ready to go to bed. Heard from my son's family in NZ and they weren't, thankfully, among the hundreds stranded on the Fox Glacier by the end-effects of the cyclone. They're in Tongariro (North Island), staying at a nice motel, having just visited the glowworm caves. No new pictures yet, though.

Internet connection is doing very well this evening. But I might still head over to the Library tomorrow to try to save some money.

Good morning to those of you near SW Michigan. I have some catching up to do as far as time differences. Also, conversions such as temperature. For example, it's about 23F here. Mother Nature has NOT been consistent with the weather this season. Last Friday, a warmish day, my furry son got out of the house and led me on (for him, at least) a merry escapade. I took him out this morning with a stern warning: If you do that today, you're on your own to get back. Of course I don't mean that, but we'd both be frozen by the end. He looked at me as if to say, "Let it go, let it go." Oh geez, there I go with another musical reference.
