Thanks, matina. Just now waiting for more pictures from New Zealand. All is OK with my internet, and I'm checking ISP plans to compare with my 'unlimited data' account at iiNet.

This man isn't wearing a 'you-know-what' but instead it's a ta'ovala AKA lavalava.

In fact, I've just read that it's illegal for both men and women to go 'topless' in Tonga, unless you're a tourist. I guess he's allowed to dress this way in South Korea, though . . .

Hmmmm . . .

Anyhow, here's Pita Taufatofua leading the Tongan team in the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics. Word on the street was that it was very, very chilly during the march.

Hello Katy and everyone else, hope you are all well and have a good weekend
PJ here's a pic for you of the female hummingbird that's building a nest close by. I had my camera on a tripod using a remote shutter switch and had to guess the focus. She approaches the nest from the same angle much of the time, so of about 25 shots on continous shooting mode 2 or 3 of those were actually ok. I'll put a different pic on SMY

OK... Here are some pictures taken today around the Chicago Land area.
And no, I didn't take them because, unlike Pj and Blueram, I suck at taking pictures.

Blue, great shot. I just didn't persevere long enough in trying to photograph that Maine hummingbird.

John, those icy shots might help matina and Katy.

My fuzzies are wary of photos, so I have to sneak up on them . . .

John, against all odds, I found this YouTube video entitled 'Curling in Australia.'

Apparently, the Scots brought the sport to Australia. But they don't play wearing you-know-whats.

Took this photo of a hibiscus flower while walking around my Sublime Point neighbourhood this afternoon. Top temperatures were about 32 degrees C, which is pretty hot for this area (960 metres elevation).

Hi to matina and Katy, Alessa and John, Blue and Diva . . . Imagine that br bear and Ice are sound asleep right now. Stretton and booktopia and AuntBessie . . . hope you're OK.

Just checked my brother's nearest web cam, and see that it's snowing in Maine again . . .
