I've found that a baseball bat can be very helpful in "certain situations"...

:o :o I've never had a 'certain situation' come up where I needed a baseball bat... now jumper cables or a shovel, I've got your back!!

Yeah, I carry jumper cables, an air compressor (tire pump) a first aid kit, a shovel, blankets and a basic tool kit in the back of my car.
As far as the baseball bat, I've had a use for it on "occasion" ;) Now that I'm a "little" older, I call it the "equalizer"

Another recent photo of the view across the street from my house. I'd almost have this view from my upstairs living room if it weren't for the gum trees! Anyhow, I can walk less than two minutes across the street and enjoy one of the best panoramas in this part of the Blue Mountains . . .

Stretton, matina and John (and Katy), I keep a full 'emergency kit' in my car, with not only the usual tools, jumper cables, shovel and saw, but also a first aid kit, some heavy clothes (in case I break down in winter), boots, some extra money and a complete change of clothes. I told you that I used to be a Boy Scout! (Yes, I carry an American Express card too, John, but instead of a baseball bat I have a small crowbar under my seat.)

Hi to br bear and Ice and Blue too. AuntBessie and slynch, haven't heard much from you lately. Sleep well, Stretton . . .

Just back from one of my tutoring sessions . . . rain has cleared and it's beautifully sunny . . .

I wouldn't keep extra money in the car because I'm afraid it would be ripped off if somebody broke in ;)
And like you, I do carry an extra change of clothes. They are "work" clothes because if I'm wearing a suit and have a breakdown, I want to change into something comfortable and practical.

How do you explain the crowbar if you get pulled over?
I just tell the cops that I'm in 3 senior softball leagues and that it's my lucky bat...

Snowys waterproof blanket on the back seat is a great blanket and you can put it on the ground without it eting wet
No i dont have that swiss army knife. I only wish i did   and no that one wont fit in an ordinary pocket

Great lists of what we all carry around day-to-day!

John, my mini-crowbar sits right next to my toolbox and is used to take the wheel covers off, in case I have flat tyre. And no-one would ever suspect a polite and gray-haired 'senior' to be doing anything remotely criminal (even if he used to drive a taxi on the night shift in the US, back in the day).

Katy and matina, supposed to be quite cool up here tonight and then go up to 29 degrees tomorrow. Have just started watching the thermal videos as my part of my son's koala research project . . . going to have to spend quite a few hours on this, between now and the middle of March.

Yeah Pj... I use the "polite and gray-haired senior" routine as well. I usually can talk my way out of most tickets. I haven't gotten one in over 15 Years ;)

Good morning matina and Katy and Alessa!

I just took this photo of the tree directly in front of my front deck.

Hi to John, dreamy, br bear and Ice too.

Katy, I've seen only a single pair of cockies over the past few days. Maybe that noisey mob was heading off on holidays!

Going to have a cup of Lavazza now . . .
