Good day/evening!

There’s some kind of construction going on across the street from my building. All that drilling noise is very bothersome. There’s always some kind of drilling or digging everywhere, no matter what part of the city one goes.

AuntB: Sounds like you’ll have an amazing garden! Love Toulouse’s picture. Such a sweetie :D And those chocolate cups... gimme!! :D
Katy: Hi!! How are the grandkids?
pjm: One could make a bonfire with all that wood!
matina: Enjoy your day :)

Have a good Wednesday, everyone! :D

matina and Katy, I'm back home again, after a long trip down to Burwood! The General Manager let me use her private parking spot! (She used to work for me.) All went well and I'll return for a second training session next month.

matina, so happy to hear about all your new electronic equipment! Ask away about Windows 10 . . . I've seen it all now . . .

Hi to Stretton and AuntBessie too! And John . . . Guess br bear and Ice will be in bed by now.

31 down in western Sydney and up to 25 here. I need a nap! Back later . . .

Pj... good deal on the parking space

Katy... enjoy your coffee, but too bad about the nap.

Hi Alessa... Nothing worse than construction in the neighborhood. Good luck with the noise.

Stretton... what is Pie in the Sky about, and is it worth it for me to track it down and download it?

matina... like Pj, I am standing by in case you need any Windows 10 help. And good luck with your new toys :D

Aunt Bessie... I'll take the tasty chocolate coffee and pass on the healthy ginseng coffee

Spotted this 'star jasmine' right at Leura Mall yesterday. It smells much better that it looks . . . what a great idea for a hedge.

matina and Katy, woke up a bit groggy after my long trip. Heading over to see my new doctor tomorrow. Although I was told my presentation went well, the drive there and back in heavy traffic wasn't much fun. Just took two Panadol.

John and Diva, ACA was just interrupted with news that three Australian cricket players have been suspended, two for 12 months and one for nine months. I guess we're all getting very, very tired of this saga. Should never have happened.

My brother was asked to 'clean up' a garage and the surrounding area. He asked what the customer wanted to do with all the firewood. Customer said, 'Just get rid of it.' So my brother scored several hundred dollars worth of firewood and was also paid for the cleanup job!

Katy, nice to hear about your grandchildren. I haven't seen mine for a long time. They're nearly grown up now.

Take care, everyone . . .

My techy friend being very smart goes to all the cash converters & savers places etc and buys up broken devices at bargain prices & fixes them and then sells/gives them on to deserving poor folks like myself :D :D God bless his soul very nice person salt of the earth type of folk very hard to find nice people like him today :D :D 8)
Ι'll take a picture of my new preloved items and post them soon they need a bit of cleaning before theυ pose for the camera   8)
alessa i know how annoying the roadworks are they are building the southern express way near my place for the last 2 years and they have 2 to 3 years more to go :o  :? :? :?

Hi JG!! - shows like this are right up my alley... it's a British cozy mystery programme... The main character was all set to retire and open a restaurant but was blackmailed to continue to work on cases, so he juggles both... If you like Midsomer Murders, Lewis, Morse, Endeavour, Jonathan Creek etc. then you would like this... :D :D

Good morning, matina and Alessa and Katy! Beautiful day up here . . . sunny and now nearly 22 degrees.

matina, sounds like you'll have a good day. Katy, trust all is well with your family and grandchildren.

The other day I strolled around Leura Station, now that all the many renovations (ramp and elevator) are finished. They tried hard to retain the heritage features (circa 1890s) down on the platform, while making everything safe and convenient. Looks like a good job to me, though I almost never take the train myself.

John and Diva, news here is filled with cricket scandal stories. I'm sure you're hearing them all now.

Hi to Stretton and AuntBessie too.

I hit a low yesterday afternoon and evening after my long drive and presentation, very sore in my neck and shoulder and rather headachey and groggy after my nap, but am feeling better now. Doctor at 12:45 pm and we'll see if she can suggest some cures for me.

Enjoying my reading, as always, and am so grateful for Mobilism . . . have nearly every single book I ever wanted!

Hi to br bear and Ice if you're still around.

Yeah Katy, the rivalry continues. Usually, I specifically pick teams to set up the rivalry. This time, it was simply unintended. I picked the two Chicago and New York teams to honor Pj and my home town teams. I didn't even notice that the Yankees were playing Toronto.

Yeah Pj... the cricket story has worked it's way across the pond. It's starting to get some press. USA Today has latched onto the story and I'm sure the other US press will soon follow.
I hope you feel better soon.

matina... I hope your enjoyed your "hard" day.

Stretton... I've never heard of ANY of the other programs. Is there one of them that you like the most that I can sample?

Hi PJ, Katy and Everyone!!

JG - ohhhh the pressure, the pressure.... umm you may want to consider secondary interests to the main mystery point... if you're a foodie you might want to start with Pie in the Sky, if you like legal issues you might like Kingdom (w Stephen Fry and beautiful sceneries, but ends with a bit of a cliffhanger), if you like magic then Jonathon Creek may be to your liking... if you like 50's era then you might like Endeavour which is actually the prequel to Morse, even though Morse aired first, the lead character passed away, so it's a reboot of the series... Beautiful scenery then go with Shetland (stunning vistas)... If you like gardening then Rosemary and Thyme... If you like wine and a little bit of country music then the New Zealand show The Brokenwood Mysteries might be for you, just finished series 4, although the wine part was concentrated more in the first season and then pretty much forgotten after that...

Now some of them are REALLY long running for example Midsomer Murders is 19 series long, and has a spinoff series Lewis which has 7 series... Even though a British series is shorter than an American season, it would still need a fair amount of commitment and hunting... the older the show the harder it is to find...

If you like something recent and short then Agatha Raisin has just finished it's first series awaiting the second... or the Australian series of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, has a couple of series under her belt but if you don't like a female lead then Strike is really good (that's the J.K. Rowling book series) or Jack Taylor (which I think is an Irish production but don't quote me on that)...

I also like Vera, DCI Banks and the Swedish/American series Wallander, although that one makes me sad... There are just sooooo many that I find it hard to recommend one... it's also why I don't like recommending books to people!! :D :D I better quit or else I will go on and on...

EDIT - Death in Paradise is really good too... tropical locale, beautiful!!

MY GOD... THANK YOU.
You've given me a lot to think about.
Besides Sherlock (because that is just about every bodies favorite) DCI Banks is one of my favorites. I hear Luthor might be coming back (I know one of the networks here is considering a reboot) The Fall was also very good. Line of Duty was excellent. And as an oddball pick, White Chapel was brilliant.

I think I will try Kingdom first.
And as far as finding old shows... That's half the fun. It's not only the viewing, it's the HUNT!
