Hi All!!

Matina did you look for babies?

Katy - I'm fine thank you, sleep is being particularly elusive, but I'm excited Fitbit sent me another replacement watch, so I've got it up and running... I like to track my sleep... and my steps, I guess if I have to... :D  How are you? :D

JG - the table looks lovely as usual, but I just had some pierogis for supper, so I'm good... unless I can find a dessert on the table, there's always room for dessert!!

Star - how's your back doing? :D

PJ - it's tough finding a new doctor, isn't it? I'm not sure that I trust the internet reviews, so unless you get a referral from a friend or family, you're just kind of going in blind... :o :?

Good morning, matina and Katy and Alessa and Star.

Am attaching a picture I received from my brother, an old mansion where he was doing landscaping, gardening, mowing, etc., the other day. The owner also asked him to remove a small horse chestnut tree that was growing too close to the house, and replant it further away. That was a hard job.

Katy, I had to wait and hour and 15 minutes to see my new doctor in Katoomba, and when I was finally finished with the appointment, it was dark, well after 6 pm, and our local pharmacy was closed. So I couldn't as yet pick up my new medication. Am also going in for another blood test tomorrow. Am hoping he'll sort things out for me. He took me off the medication that seemed to have been causing a number of side effects.

Stretton, our medical centre has little online 'blurbs' about all the doctors and you can usually work out their ages. This new one specialises in 'older people' and 'mental health issues'! Sounds like a good fit for me. I think he'd be in his late 50s, much older than the other doctors I've seen in the past two years. My original Dr. Wong retired two years ago. He and I were almost exactly the same age.

John, too bad all the TLWBF posts are starting just when you ought to be getting to bed! Yankees won 'last night' (Tuesday their time). I usually get the scores by e-mail in the morning.

Hi to br bear and Ice and Diva.

Off for a Lavazza. I also have to pick up my new medication, and then have a tutoring job down in Hazelbrook.

Oh that would be handy PJ... our Health Authority just keeps a list of Doctors currently accepting patients on their website and it doesn't give much info on them... so it's just kind of eeny, meeny, miny, moe... you call the office and get the scoop, make an appointment and decide from there... :D Lots to consider when picking a new one... That looks like it would be a nice house, did he get to peek inside?

Stretton, I'll probably hear more about that house, and maybe get another photo. My brother and his crew usually only work outdoors.

Our medical centre now allows booking appointments online (but not changing or cancelling them) and you get a text message the day before your appointment, reminding you that it's on . . . and asking for 'yes' or 'no' feedback. There are about 20 doctors to choose from, and in the same centre there's a testing centre (where I'll go tomorrow) and a skin centre (where I had my little operation two years ago). Very handy. I can drive here in less than ten minutes.

Ummm if no one was home, I'd peek in the window *snicker*

Oh we haven't gotten that new fangled yet, or at least I don't think so, I haven't been to the doctor in quite a while, since mine retired... if I need anything quickly I just pop into a walk-in clinic... bad Stretton!!

This new Fitbit version is trying to get me to say when are the hours I sleep between... and that's an impossible task, I sleep when I can, unless I take my sleeping pills which I'm not supposed to take everyday... my old one could tell whenever I was sleeping, so I think I'll have to call support and get it figured out... :?

Matina - A massage? You lucky duck!! That will sure be nice... :D

Have nice naps Katy and Matina!! :D

Stretton, good luck with your Fitbit . . . that would be high tech for me.

Just checked my BP with my monitor, and it's down to 134/80 . . . an excellent reading for moi!

Heading off soon . . . bye everyone.

(Thought all the TLWBF people might need a quokka.)

Cute quokka...

Stretton... Our healthcare is like Pj's. Everything is available on line. We can book appointments, change them, request refills on scripts, ask questions, review records... it's great.
All the doctors in the network have in-depth bios, patient reviews available on line for review. It's really easy to pick a doctor. However, until you actually meet with them, you never know for sure. I HATE SWITCHING DOCTORS... and that's why I target doctors not in my age group. One of my specialists just retired, and I'm having a problem finding somebody I like. At least my primary doctor is only 45 years old. I'm sure he will last longer than I do
