The weather's actually pretty nice today here, it's about 50F and sunny right now, which is something like... 10C, give or take a C or too?

EDIT: two, not too.

Hi Everyone!!

Katy - the power has remained on, the frost must have melted with all of the lovely weather we've been having... my Amazon delivery arrived so that will also mean that the power will stay on, now that I have flashlights, batteries, lanterns and other power outage supplies...  (I stupidly packed my other supplies and couldn't find them when I needed them, so ordered some more...) :o :(

JG - your tranquil is my pretty...

I'm kinda bored.

How did you find this wonderful thread, if I may ask?

The penis-themed posts seem to have stopped. :problem:

Yes, it's better to be safe than sorry, I had all the stuff just not in the place where it should have been...*sigh* and it's amazing that as soon as the power goes out you want something warm to eat, and it's not possible... So looking into that, as well... I tend to have analysis paralysis and have been debating between Kindle versus Kobo Forma and the power outage taught me to just pick SOMETHING, because either choice is better than nothing... I usually just read on my laptop but the battery life just isn't there...

I'm just doing my least favourite thing to do... looking into security stuff for my pc... I'm looking at ExpressVPN, anyone else using it? Do you like it? Also looking at DuckDuckGo to replace Google, who have gotten too big for their britches, as it comes to my personal info, but I did wish DDG had voice search, I always feel like I'm in the future when I talk to my computer!!

Anyway, Home Alone is coming on in an hour or so, so I'm going to watch that for the zillionth time... :D :D

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!! :D :D

A late good morning for Sunday to everyone!

My friend Roger just sent me this photo from his latest walk. Actually, if I walked across the street from my house, I could see (across the valley) the cliff where he was standing. My house is out of the shot, to the right.

Katy, up to 24 degrees here now, but there's a little breeze to cool things off. Was down to about 14 last night.

matina, hope your shopping trip and lunch go well. Keep us posted.

Hi to binaryhermit and FreezeMe. bh, because of my very close US connections, I have to be able to convert metric to Imperial measurements in my head . . . keeps me young! I once posted a few tips here, but everyone thought it was too complicated. I'm also able to live in two time zones at once, 16 hours apart! It's a bit schizophrenic . . .

No medical appointments for me for a while, so am taking it easy. Cardiologist gave me permission to drive, but I'm going to do it only in moderation. Still, it's good to be back on the road again.

Thanks to Diva for the contest notifications, and greetings to br bear and Ice, Ada and John, Alessa and Star, and all the TLWBF regulars.

Stretton, glad you're ready for the winter! My brother in Maine has a big generator, just in case . . .

Actually, I noticed there is somehow some dirty-looking snow still in places where it got plowed into big piles. Not sure how as it's been above freezing almost constantly for several days and it was like 50 today. And we got only like 2-3 inches here.

Kinda...
Interesting
It sounds like something out of some of the Sword and Sorcery Novels I read :D

binaryhermit... the snow plow piles last longer than Winter

Pj... you scared me for a minute there. When I saw the pic I though you had taken it, and that would have required a VERY LONG walk

Stretton...

My brother will be quite happy to hear that :D

Also it's sunday morning here ( 7 am ) and the only reason i'm awake is that i waited 7th episode of season 4 Outlander to air so i can finally watch Brianna travelling back through time (i don't need coffee since i'm hyped a lot and i already know what's going to happen but i can't help myself)

Happy Saturday/Sunday everyone
