Am hunkered down in my upstairs living room, enjoying the fog as it rolls in, just before sunset. Yesterday, saw the above view from across the street, looking towards the distant sunny cliffs and the Jamison Valley.

my prayers go to those doing it tough this year and our drought stricken farmers & for all those who have lost loved ones spiritofchaos you are soooo missed take the time to reflect on the year and be thankful that we are all still here no matter our pains or complaints lets be thankful we are still here and give thanks to friends & family that care about us. reach out to those whom you know are alone and go visit them take them some thing to cheer them up even if its a packet of biscuits your company is what will be valued most of all. check on the elderly in your n/hood see if they need anything. rejoice in the true meaning of Christmas "caring about other human beings"

Matina - that's so wonderful And you are absolutely right , we should be thankful for everything we have ! This reminded me of tragic event that occurred today (sorry for ruining your beautiful positive message ) but the train hit the bus and split it in half , 30 people are injured , 5 of them died including 2 kids who were going to school , my heart literally broke after i heard the news.

Good morning, everyone!

Saturday morning here, only about 10 degrees, and cloudy . . . not typical summer Christmas weather, but not really unusual up here in the mountains. Am sure that it's warmer for Katy down in Sydney and for matina in Adelaide.

FreezeMe, will include a few more drone photos of my Blue Mountains neighbourhood, taken some time ago by my son, who has a professional drone flying licence and uses the big ones for his wildlife research work in Queensland.

John, sorry I haven't been more active in Sports. Will gradually get my energy back in the weeks ahead. (That snowy house you featured could actually be near my brother's house in Maine!)

Am back to finding a few more books, but am not reading as much as I used to . . . hoping that will change soon.

matina, sorry I missed your post! Yes, I'm feeling pretty good today and had a short walk with my granddaughter and her mother yesterday. Slept well last night! Today she's with her other grandparents at Cobbitty and, I think, later at Taronga Zoo and Sydney Harbour. Hope you enjoy your lunch. Have decided to stay home today.

Katy, enjoy your 23 degrees. Have just looked at the forecast and western Sydney might have temperatures in the high 30s this coming week, from Christmas onwards. Have a good weekend!
