Good morning, everyone!
Just received another sunrise photo from my brother, from cold and wintry Maine.
Still only 13 degrees up here in the mountains, but warmer weather is coming . . . definitely by Christmas. Hope you're enjoying your weekend, Katy.
matina, hope your Sunday outing is a good one.
I have an ancient copy of the complete Sherlock Holmes stories from my uncle, given to him on a Christmas back in the 1930s when he was a young man. Have read all the stories twice and some more often. I usually enjoy the modern movie and TV versions and especially how Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman recreate the characters. It's lots of fun when the scriptwriters pick up obscure Conan Doyle references and turn them into something new but still recognisable.
The great South African actor Basil Rathbone played Holmes many times, both in the movies and on the radio and, to the best of my knowledge, never wore a kilt . . .
But this rose is an extra. - A. Conan Doyle
