Tonight I made Shepherd's Pie, I read that after you take the pot out of the oven, if the potato layer is not quite browned enough, go over with a blow torch. It's called a special word but it's left my mind. Smoke alarm, open the windows, throw the burning tea towel in the sink and put the tap on Jeez, nevermind

Heat wave is supposed to break tomorrow. I sure hope so.

Photo shows outside my former window at Katoomba Hospital, where the 2 am helicopter landed, only metres from my bed! Helipad is concealed behind a hedge off to the right. Very exciting . . .
