it is too hot! here in Australia it is toooooo bloody hot!
the trick is to regulate your sleep pattern go to bed at the same time every night no back-lit tablets or computer screen time 2 hours prior to going to bed TV is fine as long as it is in a dark room and you have a light on in the back ground behind you, have a nice cup of tea like chamomile before bed and maybe a small splash of rum in it to help relax you. if this doesn't work get some melatonin over the counter and have it an hour before bed time. no heavy meals before bed time and no chocolate or sugar GOODLUCK! Stretton.
time for my nana nap ;-)

Am a bit too late to say good morning, so will wish everyone a good afternoon instead!

Haven't quite caught up on the recent TLWBF comments, but thanks for all the good wishes.

Feeling better today and checking in with my GP in Katoomba late this afternoon.

Was quite cool up here overnight, but now up to 18 degrees, cloudy . . . no rain today.

Sorry to hear from those TLWBF people who can't sleep well. In past years I used to be able to sleep like a log (when I wasn't working) and am still doing pretty well in this regard, all things considered. If you're not getting good sleep, then your whole life is affected. Young people get away with lack of sleep for a while, but it catches up with you eventually.

There's usually at least one cockatoo keeping an eye on my house . . .

Ohhhh Matina I've tried pretty much everything. it's really frustrating... and I even made the Great Sugar Sacrifice of 2019, to see if it would help, but it seems to have gotten worse not better... so it's sleeping pills it is, well at least for the time being, I keep hoping... :D :D

What do you mean no chocolate before bed :shock: :o Yeah I'm bad :lol: although , a shot of port helps too and yeah the heat plays a big part in a comfy sleep for me : :? Pj I agree with stretton that cockatoo is creepy 8) good news from your Dr I hope :D Hi stretton :wave: I tried giving up deserts or sweets before bed didn't make any difference ,so if I'm gonna be awake I might as well be happy about it :lol:

Have to do a few more things but i hope that i'll watch it soon , have to listen to some music and do the laundry .

My sleep really sucks right now... my kind of insomnia is I have trouble falling asleep... I'm kind of like the princess and the pea, or maybe more like goldilocks... it can't be too hot, or too cold or too light and the blankets have to be just right, then I have to take pills too, although I only try to take them 4 times per week... and I haven't slept in 2 days... hopefully tonight... wish me luck... *crosses fingers*


Ahh sleeping pills.. I always take one in the morning because i have hormonal disbalance and it's affecting my mood , weight , almost everything . I recently changed my medication because i had counter effects, Please be careful and try not to get addicted. I wouldn't recommend melatonin (even tho it works perfectly) because sleeping is supposed to come in naturally , pills make you calm but you naturally fall asleep , on the other hand i feel like melatonin is abruptly urging you to sleep and it;s just not for me . Anyway , it's always good when you fall asleep without pills, like Matina said

The best way to fall asleep if you ask me .

I've never tried cutting out sugar to see if my darling sleeping schedule would suddenly be fixed , the only thing i get from eating too much sugar are calories :lol:

For the people who have sleeping problems , i'm sure that you can relate *sighs*

Anyway , i watch ASMR videos on yt too so i would recommend this one , if not to fall asleep - at least it'll get you tired hopefully

FreezeME - it's why I only take sleeping pills four times a week, so that I don't get addicted to them, but I can't sleep without them, soooo... I don't know what the answer is, when I get desperate for sleep I take them... no easy answer... I cut sugar out for over TWO MONTHS... and it got me stinkin' nothing... how ticked am I?? :shock: :shock: I thought since they talk about sugar highs and you see kids running around all crazy when they get too much sugar, I thought it was worth a shot...

I do try to put a sleep hygiene programme into place and adhere to it, and as long as I don't start a book it's easier to follow... once I start a book, I generally can't put it down, so if I start it at 8p, I will be there at 3a finishing it up... :lol: :lol: It's really hard to get into a proper schedule and super easy to mess it up... :?

Oh one thing I was going to try next was CBD oil... but it's the wild west out there, there's sooo many choices and a lot of them are fake... so I have some research to do...
