Hello, everyone

Matina, take care of yourself. Have a nice, relaxing day with a good book :) I love how you still managed to mention kilts   That's the spirit

John, it looks like we've arrived at Ice's party early. We must be the thirstiest of the bunch  . Shall we wait for everybody else or just uncork the wine right this instant? :shifty:

I'm not going to argue... It's the first time I've ever won that game. It seems like picking wine EVERY time is not usually the best strategy
And wait for other people... NONSENSE

My friend took this photo (above) this afternoon, not far from my house. It shows the sacred mountain Korowal, off in the Jamison Valley.

John, it's a kind of banksia, very common in these parts. I was only about 100 metres from my house when I spotted this excellent specimen.

Hi to Katy and matina. Just back from the doctor. Will leave my blood test report for later. (Sigh.)

Greetings to Stretton, fox and all the TLWBF regulars.

Going to have some dinner now.

So what are the UKer's doing about Zippy? I heard something when the restriction first took place but nothing after... Someone asked me for a different link from an old request of mine, and I'm such a luddite I only know how to do Zippy links... Can they get the books using a VPN... :?

A late check-in, with greetings to all the TLWBF regulars.

Yes, Katy . . . but I'll leave the details for now. Am on two more medications, with the possibility of quitting one other medicine after a 24 hour 'Holter' test starting this afternoon. Haven't heard from my grandchildren for more than two weeks.

Nice flowers, sunnyddn. Still have quite a few in evidence here, even though autumn is approaching.

Stretton, I may have got my banksias and bottle brushes mixed up! Will let matina and Katy decide! It was located just across the street from my house.

My friend took this spectacular photo of a waterfall . . . not far from where I live.

Hi to John and fox too. Leaving soon to go over to the local medical centre, where I'll be fitted with a something that will monitor my pulse and heart rhythms for 24 hours. If I 'pass the test' then I can drop my medication that works to prevent 'arterial fibrillation.' (Another sigh.)

Will report back later . . .

(matina, all three fuzzies are still doing just fine.)

Stretton, actually you are not obliged to provide new links for requests at all. The mods leave a message to that effect in every request thread.
Zippy is still blocked in the UK, but it is possible to access the site using a VPN or the Tor browser.
If the request in question is old, chances are that the Zippy link has already expired - they are notorious for purging files older than 30 days or so. In that case the person who asked you for a new link should make a new request in the request section.
If you want to go out of your way to help them, even though you don't have to, you could try tusfiles.com. This host has a very simple, user-friendly interface that even the staunchest luddite should be able to cope with

Kathy, yay, welcome to the party!

Ahhh but you see there's a loophole... what the Mods write is "Please do not PM the eBook staff or fulfiller requesting new links." so you see it says nothing about asking the Requester for new links... so I get requests to 're-up' the link, even though I didn't post the link in the first place...

Yes, I thought that a VPN might work, and I suggested it, but I just wanted to make sure I was giving correct information... :D

I'll give tusfiles.com a look, it's probably a good idea to have a back-up, I'll add it to my To-Do List... Thank you so much!! :D :D

It probably didn't cross their mind to put in a caveat that you shouldn't be requesting books from requesters :?
However, if someone keeps bothering you, you can direct them to the general request section rules:
Requesting via Private Message is not allowed.

And
Important: Links in requests are NOT meant to be replaced when they die.
