Greetings, everyone . . . a rather cool Monday morning here, with the overnight rain slowly subsiding.

matina, hope you're OK. How was your weekend?

Katy, am planning a quiet day myself. Phone call with my brother last night . . . not such good news about my sister-in-law, who isn't really recovering as she should. Not gaining any weight at all. My brother is going to be able to skip the next fortnight's chemo because he has to have a minor surgery on his neck. That will give him a welcome break from the side effects. No new news from my son about his koalas. I think he's still working at D'Aguilar National Park or thereabouts.

hello all how are you? I hope everyone is fine.
we had a crappy weekend but to dumb it down, Satan isn't having his cataract surgery after all that organizing research phone calls with medical professionals health funds etc etc what a waste of time and effort.
he isn't wanting to go to any doctors so i had to record him so i am covered i cant physically make him go it is assault. life is very hard dealing with dementia (but he was like this before dementia)
so i am enjoying a home day today before tomorrow go to go to dentist then the week begins for dr appointments. for mum and i:? etc. It never ends. I am just so very tired!

Good afternoon, everyone! Above is a picture I took while visiting my neighbour across the road, yesterday afternoon. Good thing he has a railing on his back patio!

matina, hope the dentist appointment goes well. I'm finished with my dental work for the year, I hope. But I have cleaning done every 3-4 months, because that's recommended for heart surgery patients. Sorry to hear that your father is being so difficult about his cataract op. Sounds like you've done everything you can do.

Katy, cold overnight and still not quite up to 5 degrees here, at 1:30. The wind makes it feel even colder. My brother's wife did manage to get out to her second son's 'camp' yesterday, with my brother and all the family. She has to carry her IV feeding drip in a kind of backpack. But my niece just wrote and said they everyone had a great time on a beautiful (very typical) Maine lake and seeing the grandchildren cheered up my sister-in-law. But she's still not really eating and is very, very thin and frail.

Lots of birds this morning, and the cockatoos departed at some point, leaving a lot of seeds behind for the rosellas, who are now very busy cleaning up the front deck. I can never figure them out.

rishi looking gorgeous as every. very sad to hear about your sister in laws condition i hope she improves. ice-cream and custard with fruit is the way to go protein with magnesium. I hope she bounces back.
as for figuring Rosella's out (not difficult) here it is they look pretty but they are mean evil hard to kill little Bastards!!!!
my next dental clean is in December everything went well. picked up a few basic items i needed to make Chinese chicken and sweetcorn soup tomorrow.
Kathy good to hear you are improving. time for a lay down now.
i swear idiot drivers come out when the rain and snails come out!

matina, sun has set . . . has been a cold day here in the Blue Mountains . . . but now the fire is going and Sunnya has curled up in her 'Incredible' cardboard box right in front of it. I drove over to Leura Mall this afternoon to pick up some essential supplies and finished off the rest of the laundry. No new news to report from my son's family in Queensland or my brother's family in Maine.

Good morning Pj 2c this morning cold and windy here, even had a bit of ice on the back deck my son in law went back to his office yesterday he was amazed at how deserted the North Sydney was , he is on the 37th floor of the office building ,but they are only allowing 2 or 3 people in the lift at a time he was very careful with touching buttons and doors etc
How strange our lives have become I'm so glad I'm retired id rather be home safe Thinking of you and the family Pj hello to everyone lurkers included have a good day

Hi, matina. Always good to hear from you. Sounds like a nice dinner for tonight! No news to report from my family today. Am assuming that my son is still rescuing koalas in D'Aguilar National Park.

Katy, another fairly cold night up here in the mountains . . . now only about six degrees . . . have my central heating on, so everything is nice and cosy in my upstairs living room. In the evening, when I light the fire, I turn off the central heating. Then, before I go to bed, I put an extra log on the fire. This seems to keep the fuzzies warm through the night, although occasionally Rishi comes downstairs and gets into bed with me.
