Hi, everyone. Another beautiful winter's day up here in the mountains. Picture above is from yesterday's outing, looking west from near the 'point' of Sublime Point, west towards Katoomba.

matina, just heard that my brother had a minor 'cyst' removed from the back of his neck yesterday. Was done in the doctor's office and he had to have a couple of stitches. He'll go back next week to have the stitches removed and won't have any more chemo for another fortnight. That will give him a nice break from side effects. His wife is eating a bit more and for the first time felt like having coffee in the morning! So I received some good news overnight. Had a chat with my niece too. She's supervising everything now.

Katy, hope you had a nice outing. I was out to the chemist today and enjoyed a cappuccino. Temperature was up to 12 degrees but felt warmer in the sun. The larger cafes in Leura now seem to be nearly full around lunch time. At the moment am thinking seriously about a nap.

Diva, I always connect Snoopy with my childhood dog, which was a beagle!

matina, my brother has promised a new picture of your Maine shed, but it hasn't arrived as yet. But I think the roof is on now! My brother will no doubt feel a lot better over the coming two weeks, with his chemo side effects greatly decreased, so will probably do more work on it. The young guys who put up the four sides and roof aren't going to do any more work for a while, so I think he hopes to get one of his sons to help him to finish it up.

Katy, above is a photo of Megalong Books on Leura Mall, with a virtual fireplace in the front window. I think I'll stick with my old-fashioned version! I always window-shop there when I go over to Leura Mall. Have another Woolies free delivery coming tomorrow evening, so I didn't need to pick up anything heavy today.

Hi Pj oh there's nothing like a real book shop, they are very rare down here I just love to wonder around and flip through books 23c today a bit warmer than I'd like but it's beautful weather just the same one more coffee in the sun then I'll think about moving , maybe be safe thinking of all of you
