Enjoy your coffee, matina!

I just returned from getting jabbed with my first dose of AZ. Nothing bad happening yet, although I’m expecting at least some headache by tomorrow since one of my coworkers got the jab yesterday and woke up with a headache and his arm hurts. :?

French presses are great. I used to have one in high school to make tea. They’re great to make milk foam

Hi, Kathy! I wish I had your weather right now. It’s 36C again and I have the AC on, as usual. It’s too bad that you can’t meet up with your grandkids. How’s Skyping working for you?

matina, here's a picture of some light snow, taken a bit north and west of my house. We only had about an hour of snow flurries. But maybe more tonight. Wind has been blowing a gale, like yesterday.

Alessa, glad you didn't have any side effects so far. I know someone who had an ordinary tetanus shot two years ago, and she's still complaining that she couldn't use her arm for a month. You just never know. Everyone is different. The vet said that my Rishi shouldn't have her regular vaccination while she's on her steroid.

Fatima, more wonderful puppies! Hope they all find good homes . . .

Katy, hope you're just outside the three super-locked-down local gov areas. Nothing much happening up here. In fact, I only noticed two cockatoos showing up, all day. A dozen or so rosellas made the most of an empty feeding table. I re-read Gladys's restrictions, but couldn't find any reference to cockatoos . . .

Good night, everyone!

Morning everyone

Hi Alessa yeah we're doing video calls with the kids but it's not the same as a hug from them :( I am enjoying the cold cause summer will be here soon enough :? so good to hear from you :D Pj we're in Camden Lga but I'm assuming the same applies here it's all very confusing, we are only going out for food bread or milk if needed otherwise we order online :? hmm didn't see any flight restrictions on cockies  matina hugs mwah love to you and the family :) aw fatima puppies certainly cheer us up at the moment thank you :D
be safe everyone :D

Rishi particularly likes rosellas and top knot pigeons. Cockatoos are a bit over-the-top for her . . .

matina, no snow today . . . bright and sunny up here, and about 7 degrees. Tried to sit out in the backyard for some sun, but it was just a bit too nippy for me. Might take a little walk this afternoon and look for a few photo ops.

Katy, yes, Camden dosen't have the stricter covid requirement of Liverpool, so I guess you're a little better off. I think I once mentioned that my son's wife's mother was living in Cobbitty for many years. But because of poor health she's now moved up to the Sunshine Coast to be nearer her daughters. I'm very happy up here and today I'm enjoying gazing out over the bush and seeing the blues skies. (Bottom photo.)

Diva, Alessa, Fatima . . . trust you're enjoying your weekend!

PJ snow oh when i saw that pic all i wanted to do was just lay down and roll all over that   8)
Kathy i am sure they will ease restrictions soon if folks do what they tell them too (some folks still want to flaunt it and see just how much they can get away with) it is this attitude that allows this virus to keep spreading they think they don't have it because they are A symptomatic and then (ooopsy sorry i didn't know)
hello bear ice JG alessa diva and anyone else i may have forgotten had a nice lunch out at the pub.
now time for a nice cup of tea and just relax.
tomorrow will be a visiting and errand day so wolf will be out and about.
be safe everyone and enjoy what is left of your weekends may god be with and bless you all

Gaaah! I’m with matina…Gimme snooooow!!!

Kathy, I’m sending you a huuuge hug!

2nd day after AZ and feeling OK. Spot where I got jabbed aches if I move my arm or touch it. No fever so far. I’m not sure what to expect seeing as I’m still taking Acitetrin for my Psoriasis. Discontinued Methotrexate last week in prep for the vaccine. Will remain off it for the next 2 weeks

Anyone had side effects after getting a Covid-19 vaccine?

Hi 'Lessa
I had AZ, no pain in arm, but felt muzzy and heavy headed the next day which lasted about 24 hours, then I had a couple of dizzy spells for 2 days. After 2nd jab nothing at all :D

Hope you're feeling better soon.

So glad to see so many messages this evening!

matina, wish I could share some more snow photos. None today because it was sunny (though very cold and windy).

Fatima and Alessa . . . good news about your AZ shots. Hope all continues well for you both. Here they are saying that younger people (under 60) may have more risk . . . but it's only a very, very small chance. Nevertheless, hope you'll both watch out for other side effects. Personally, I don't know of anyone here in Oz who's had AZ jab side effects. Lots of people (so I hear) are waiting for the Pfizer vaccines to arrive, because they think it's more effective and safer. I think only 10% of the local population has had two shots and 25% at least one . . .

Enjoying my fireplace this evening, with my fuzzies . . .

matina, had a good talk with my brother last night. That 'new building' next to his house is now complete and solely occupied by 'Little Cat' . . . my brother's only cat, which turned up out of the woods about two years ago and has never left. He walks over every morning and Little Cat comes down the stairs and sits next to him to be fed. She has the beautiful building all to herself! (The builders put in a free 'cat door' for LC in one of the doors before they finished work.)

Katy, little police presence up here, as usual. Leural Mall has a bit of traffic and the cafes are allowed to sell takeaways, etc. There's a brand new pizza shop called 'Pizza Sublime' and I tried out their free home delivery the other day. Very brave to open a new shop in these times! I have to drive over late this afternoon to pick up some milk and check if I have anything in my PO box. Woolies delivery tomorrow, so I don't need to buy much. I usually go after 4:30 pm when things are quiet but the PO is still open.

Diva, good to see you stopping by! Thanks for the picture!

HE, that's great! You could post that GIF every day at DCT and win every day! I usually enter that contest daily, but haven't won for a long time. My favourite contest remains 'Show Me Yours' and it's always my first Mobi stop, right after I check for messages here at CC&BC.

Top photo shows one of my favourite local birds on my front deck. I think their official name is 'top knot' or 'crested' pigeons, but I call them 'pinheads.' They're a bit shy and it's hard to get a good shot of them. My front yeard camellias are flowering too and I took the lower photo yesterday of the best one.

HELLO ALL!
ALESSA great news on your covid Jab no side effects and you did the right thing stopping methotrexate before having it (i was so worried for you) I cant be on any immune suppressant medications til covid finishes or dies off. rheumatologist advised against it. please keep us updated. yes love the snow id prefer the cold rather than the heat any old day.
Diva in answer to your question not much but everything at once too (if that makes sense) lots of running around and chasing after bureaucratic idiots who cant resend a simple bloody email. uncles and aunties going into hospital and coming out of them then visiting to see if we can help them in any way.
PJ nice pics is that camellia called Russian empress i had one but it died on me the heat wave we had 3 -4 years ago of 6 weeks nothing under 35 degrees C totally killed her off ( nearly killed us off too) :? :( :( :( tell your brother i am still awaiting my adoption papers and i would love nothing more than to keep LC company in his/ her new home    I am so glad he is doing so well and that his family are looking after him. it is great news.
we were notified that someone with the delta strain visited a imported goods warehouse in hind marsh here in s.a they have closed it for deep clean we usually go there to shop as they have a lot of European products anyone who had been there from Friday till today needs to go get tested well thank god we haven't been there for months. but with Malaren vale and now hindmarsh i feel a lock down coming on.
Hogwarts express welcome and great job i know creating gifs is hard but sooo rewarding well done!!
Fatima i love your fury posts i will never tire of them so please PLEASE keep them comming.

matina, I heard about an Adelaide area positive PCR test today and hoped it wasn't near you. And I even more hope that Adelaide won't have to go into lockdown. I drove over to Leura Mall very late in the afternoon today, to get my milk and check my PO box, didn't stay long at all, wearing my mask all the time. It was very quiet. I was only inside the supermarket for a few minutes, anyhow. Then I drove up to bushy North Leura to get my free spring water. I don't know the name of my beautiful red camellia . . . will have to ask one of my more knowledgeable friends. So glad to hear that you'll have a nice massage tomorrow and a good rest!

Posting the view across the street . . . taken yesterday . . . and another of my camellias. Fire going and I'm looking forward to a quiet evening with my fuzzies.

Good night, everyone!
