Alessa first day back with the munchkins and with covid it must have been torture i hope you survived it.
we had a nice day out had fish and chips with one of mums friends and some other ladies turned up we made a few hours fly by it was a nice time had by all. time to relax on the couch.
home day tomorrow massage sooo looking forward to it. (i will keep your picture post in my mind kathy)

matina and Katy, my scientist son is locked down and 'stranded' on North Stradbroke Island, amongst his koalas. Am hoping to hear more today.

WE had a very nice massage and a nice lamb roast for lunch and watched some tv now about to have a nana nap. then it wil be time for coffee and treats plus more tv watching i love home days. I ordered a paper census form (i know they have provided online census) but i am not risking internet or power outages or site crashing when half way through a very long form. especially when every man woman child and their pets will be on the internet and on one site on one night it is asking for disaster. good old paper and a back up one as my handwriting is bad may need a do over lol then i can take my time filling it in with a nice extra strong chamomile. so they say it is for infrastructure and transportation reasons. did they never think the baby boomers would age and for them to have enough retirement homes and services for them when they were doing the census all these years???? (yeah don't even get me started)
time for my nap before i get tooo frazzled to sleep.

Morning Pj you know if I had to choose a place to be locked down in it'd be Stradbroke Island, or the blue mountains I hope your son can get home to his family soon Wishing you well Pj cuddle those fuzzies for me matina i got a stick vacuum hoover it's light and easy to use just for small areas rather than dragging the bigger one out with the cord I finally put a colour in my hair I was gonna shoot hubby if he commented one more time on how much grey I had time to rinse and shampoo be safe all

Sad times and a strict lockdown, but the beautiful, clear blue winter skies and endless gum trees make everything seem a bit better.

matina, have just sent you a PM. All OK here. Four cockies just turned up . . . along with a half dozen rosellas.

Katy, my scientist son is living locked down on 'Straddie' in a small building owned by the university and surviving on takeaway food. He texted late yesterday that for the first time in a long time he had two nights in a row when he didn't work and could sleep normally. He's been exhausted by the 10 pm to 7 am work on two different koala sites, but apparently can relax a bit more now.

Another wintry day up in the mountains, but sunny and bright . . . Took the above flag photo yesterday late afternoon when I briefly ducked into our local supermarket, mask firmly in place, and picked up some essential milk.

matina, hope you get all those chores done today, and have a quiet 24 hours at home. Hoping too that your mother's new helper works out well.

Katy, thanks for your ongoing good wishes. Yes, it would be great if my scientist son was allowed home after Sunday, when the QLD lockdown is supposed to end. I sure hope so. But at least he doesn't have to do long-distance driving for a while. Only 7 degrees up here as of 12 noon, but at least the wind has dropped. Package has arrived at the PO so I might venture over again today, just before 5 pm, when all is quiet.

Alessa, good to hear that you're back at school. Classes are pretty much all closed down here in the Sydney area. I still do my one remaining tutoring lesson (via Zoom) every Monday afternoon. Moving on to Shakespeare's 'Henry the IV, Part 1' next week. Keeps my mind perking along . . .
