Ugh the S word matina I'm dreading it this winter has been wonderful I can actually walk when it's colder, ah well we keep on going my poor granddaughter thought with lockdown she wouldn't have to do sport , nahaaah zoom classes all afternoon exercising poor baby sporty she is not Morning Pj you could be your own gp checking temp, BP etc well done
just put those things away after you know how you got with your finger thingy still it's good news on the Afib just remember your coffee intake Though I shouldn't preach I love my coffee more so these days especially sitting outside diva mwah hello to everyone else take care

matina, while Rishi was sleeping in, on the bed, Sunnya was keeping watch for birds and bugs out on the patio!

Katy, up to 12 degrees here today, which feels pretty warm. I have to go and pick up a package at the PO today, which will be my exciting activity for the day.

25-30 cockies now finishing off their seeds on the front deck.

Yes a very late posting from me, (sorry) we had a very full on crappy run around full of anxiety filled day! tomorrow is a home day so that is always nice but back on the spin wheel again on Thursday hairdressing day and an appointment for mother at the geriatric clinic. Friday will be her first personal care day and shopping day. (it will be a home day for me) hoping i can get my taxi vouchers reinstated dropped off the paperwork to the DR today, I am hoping i can get them back sometime this week so i can copy and post them off.
PJ nice back yard i can see why you love it there. cockies still need to be put on a diet

matina, glad to hear that you're having a 'home day' in an otherwise busy week. Thanks for staying in touch. Have fed my cockies and they've eaten absolutely everything and are now watching me carefully from the front deck . . .

Katy, that was a nice 'I love my dog' posting! I don't think I could get either Rishi or Sunnya to do that. Looked sunny this morning, but I was quickly driven in from my backyard by the wind. 14 degrees on the thermometer, but it feels a lot colder. As for my 'lockdown jobs' . . . I'm thinking of driving over to Katoomba and filling the car up with petrol. I'm almost down to 1/2 and I was taught 57 years ago (when I did my driver's training) to always keep the tank more than half full! My census is all ready to go too. I was asked if there's a penalty for not sending it in, or for lying, and discovered that there is indeed . . . anyhow, I have nothing to hide . . .

but i have to hit the ground running again tomorrow 10 am hairdressers then home for a quick lunch and then to be at hospital for mums geriatric assessment by 2pm busy busy that is all well if nothing else pops up in the mean time.

Good morning Pj I remember when i was a young driver going to fill up the car with petrol ,it was so nice i didn't have to get out of the car, some young attendant would check the oil and water fill up the tank, wash the windscreen cause I had no clue how much oil or water to use my dad always did that stay well Pj Matina goodluck with mums assessment today xo back to my cleaning be safe everyone

matina, I imagine you're very busy right now, with your mother's assessment. You're probably going to be happy at the hairdressers, though. (My own hair has taken on a life of its own during our lockdown.) Anyhow, hope the day goes well. Check in when you can. Am now watching my cockies enjoying lunch . . .

Katy, yes, those were the days before self-service! I can remember travelling in my uncle's car, back in the late 1950s, although I only got my first driver's licence in 1965. Every day was a struggle to keep my old car going. (If I had it today, it would probably be worth about $100,000!) Temperature up to 10 degrees right now, and nice and sunny. I was able to sit out in the backyard and soak up some vitamin D this morning. Can't believe that our lockdown may last into November. Guess it doesn't really matter to me personally, but lots of people are going to suffer.

HELLO ALL!
Just got home and mums assessment went well but a CT head scan is needed just for precaution. she was given a prescription for some new pain medication as this is preventing her from sleeping and this is what is making her feel confused and inattentive that and (having lived with Satan for more then 30 years) its enough to drive anyone insane.
Kathy Yes i loved it when they did that and filled the tyres with air no need to ruin a nice skirt with grease etc while trying to fill up the tank especially when going out for the night. there is no such thing as customer service anymore. I say bring it back it would employ a lot of folks and save a lot of us in situations where we cant do it anymore because of disability or age or just the simple fact of not wanting to get dirty if your going to a special event. It used to be free as it was a way of service stations to please customers so they come back but i would definitely be willing to pay $5- $10 bucks to have that again. It helps us out and it gives some kid some work experience and a wage too.
PJ that cockie is going to nose dive and fall on his face onto your front deck from far too much food he cant even extend his wings out far enough to even attempt flight the poor old sap. wattle although pretty as all get out the words sneezy hay fever (have me peeing my pants) even just looking at it on the computer monitor. (and that is an unusual variety) nice pic
Alessa did you box Kathy up??? I am sure she feels like that being that she is still in lockdown and cant harass passing shoppers I hope the munchkins are behaving and not eating or stuffing arts and crafts in places they should not belong. i hope you have an antiseptic dunking barrel before and after school for them (the little petri dishes of super spreaders)
coffee time and relaxation fro the rest of the day. I have a home day tomorrow and mum is going shopping with a helper free time!! whoohoo!

Katy, after filling up with petrol at Katoomba yesterday, I was picking up my scripts at the chemist and asked the young woman I know there how her three early teenage children were doing (she has twins). She answered, "I'm asking for extra shifts here to get out of the house!" So I can just imagine what children are like in this lockdown. Have noticed your suburb mentioned in the news so I hope the positive PCR cases aren't creeping down your way. I was out in the backyard again this morning. Despite the low temperatures, it was quite nice as long as I sat right in the sun. Neither Sunnya nor Rishi joined me, though.
