Katy, still only 9 degrees up here, so I revived my fire from last night. Fuzzies are enjoying it as I type. Was glad to get my voting done and ran into two people I knew while in Katoomba. Also filled up with petrol while silently complaining about the high prices. Glad to hear that you're enjoying your granddaughter's company today! More than a year since I've seen mine.

I like to think I offset some of that spending with some potentially new savings:
by helping my guy apply for a new credit card since he went nuclear and shut down his old bank AND the credit card associated with it back in September. They were pure evil I tell ya!!!!!! They literally stole money from him (during the time when he was a student but they assigned him to a regular account with monthly fees --when he eventually found the error, they were like *shrug* nothing we can do. YEAH, but if HE owed them money, you betcha they would fight tooth and nail for it. -.-) Still, he couldn't leave them until he paid off the line of credit they issued. Thank goodness that whole debacle is over.

Now the bank he's with (which is also mine) actually makes him some decent moolah. They even have a higher tiered card (which I hope will make the approval process even easier). Through a referral site, if approved, they'll send over a $125 amazon gift card and if $1000 is spent in the first 2 months, the credit card company will do a 15% bonus cash back (i think on top of the other money back categories). Looking forward to the perks! I have RedFlagForums to thank for the idea.

p.s. on the home front, I CAN'T FIND the hooks used to attach my over the door organizer, nor the little wall attachment pieces so we can't secure the IKEA bookcases to the wall just yet. Gotta figure out a new solution for shoes too...

lush, thanks for the news. But don't even get me started about banks, financial arrangments, investments and insurance! It's a constant battle to make sure that you're not being done over. Anyhow, glad that you're fighting the good fight. And good luck with the door organiser.

Voted early yesterday, in Katoomba, and snapped this shot as I was going up to the voting area, located in what used to be the Blue Mountains Library. (We have a great new one now, with panoramic views.) Met one of the candidates, whom I'd met before, and also a local friend of mine who was helping out. I won't tell you how I voted, but it wasn't for any of the incumbents . . .

Rain continues here, but not nearly as bad as elsewhere in the country. My gutters and drains seem to be coping OK. Cool enough for a fire and I've just added a bit more wood for the evening. Sunnya especially enjoys it. Quite cosy . . .

HELLO ALL!
It was a nice 25 degree day cool breeze. We had a good time at the party. Lamb on the spit salads sweets lunch started at 2 and most left by 530 some of us stayed to help clean up and we got home at 9.30pm. We all had some laughs i had 1 apple cider since i was driving i had it at lunch. So when we left at 9pm im sure nothung would be found lol.
Busy day tomorrow going to visit my aunty who os home again from respite at a nusring home. Its time that this wolfy plays Santa again. Lol.
Kathy PJ glad you got your voting done. Thank goodnes we dont have to yet. I hate it. Nothing changes for the better. Its always bad news.

matina, here's one of the Thanksgiving photos from my family in Maine, showing Little Cat. She still has her own two storey building and a 300 acre property on the ocean. I think she was a bit scared when so many people showed up for Thanksgiving. More later.

Katy, after a 6 degree night, we're getting a bit of sun up here. Up to 15 degrees now, so the warmest day in a while. Counting the days until the 15th, when I hope we'll lose most of the NSW restrictions. Would be so wonderful to get back to near 'normal' before Christmas.
