Here's a photo I took yesterday of the little pond located on the other side of the street from my house. I can hear the frogs enjoying it at night!

matina, all OK here in the mountains today. Weather has warmed up a bit and I was able to sit out in the sun in the backyard this morning. Cloudy again now but fairly warm. Fuzzies have enjoyed breakfast and lunch and are now taking it easy.

Katy, am making a reminder list for my telephone appointment with my GP tomorrow. Will ask him about what my cardiologist told me. No hope now, I guess, of reducing any of my medicines . . . except maybe my thyroid meds . . . which still puzzle me. Like everyone, am waiting to hear that our December 15th covid 'release' is still on track for NSW. Am well and truly tired of these restrictions, even though I really don't go anywhere!

matina, sorry to hear about the heat! Was quite nice here in the mountains today . . . maybe 18 or 19. My doctor's appointment tomorrow has been changed to the morning, but I have my reminder list ready.

Today's photo shows the usual yellow flowers across the road from my house. Beautiful distant view of the valley beyond didn't come out . . .

matina, hope your day is going well. Do you have your AC going? About 20 degrees up here, so it's about just right.

Katy, the owners of those girl cats aren't going to be very happy! I can see some solicitors making money on this one! No problem for the tom cat, of course . . . This morning's telephone appointment went OK. Am going to have another ultrasound and CAT scan on prostate, kidneys and bladder in due course, just to keep an eye on things. Last series of scans showed I was doing pretty well. Gave myself 20 BP checks over the course of yesterday and my average was 142/79, which is pretty good. Top number could still go down a bit more. Pulse rate was always between 50 and 64, so no worries there. Am sure your grandson enjoyed his bowling and cafe lunch today! I used to work with a guy who always said (when he heard such things), 'Oh, to be young again!'

Kathy oh the poor poor kitty now think of all the kids he will have to run around for. A solicitors dream job! but he reminded me of PJ's cat Cosmo shed a little tear i don't mind telling you then the hysterical laughter came on with me thinking i can imagine if Cosmo had turned up with all his mistresses and offspring in tow on PJ's front deck ( talk about cats amoung the wild parrots) made my day
we had a few meetings and that is all done now. hot day yesterday and last night 22 degrees and another 34 degrees today i am not happy!! sore cranky and sitting in front of the A/C. HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO DO BUT I CANT BE BOTHERED!

I have no idea why they keep naming them after the Greek alphabet when this whole outbreak originated from china! so they went from delta to omicron (they skipped quite a few in there) why i cannot imagine why. however why not go straight to omega and be done with us all REALLY!!! tell folks you love them before the omega arrives

Matina im off to drop off some shoes for the grandson he broke his this morning god only know how he so rough on shoes my daughter always buys extras in bigger sizes so she has spares so its a round trip in the car luckily I don't have to gey out his teacher is meeting me out front hugs to to you mwah Morning Pj matina is right just the thought of a Cosmo harem amongst the cockies would make you laugh god bless him I don't think the girls would approve though 27c warm and humid about to start my school journey then I'll grab some lunch on the way home hope all is ok with you take care everyone

Took this shot a couple of hours ago, while I enjoyed my Vitamin D session in my backyard. Sure nice to see the sun for a while.

Katy, hope that shoe errand went OK and that you had a nice outing. Am always sad to think of my dear Cosmo. Turned up another one of his photos the other day. My two little fuzzies are fine today and acting sprightly and healthy. Must drive over to Katoomba this afternoon to pick up my referrals from my GP's office. Need to have my regular blood test soon.

Otherwise, a fairly quiet day. Not much else to report.

It is a home day but still doing a few odds and bits via phone consults etc for mum's home care package. Otherwise nice and quiet just the way i like it tomorrow will be shopping for a few bits of odds and ends.
27 degrees today but the humidity is 73% suffocating!

matina and Katy, picked up my GP's two referrals today and stopped by Specsavers and ordered another pair of reading glasses. I discovered that HCF will pay for them, so they're absolutely free. Now I can have two pairs positioned around the house . . . very handy. Surprised to find that two new barbers are opening up this week on either side of Specsavers on Katoomba Street, so will try to get a nice haircut when I return to pick up my glasses. Brief showers in the middle of the day in the neighbourhood, but sunny again now, at sunset. Have weaned off my cockies to a once a day feed. Was getting expensive. Would like to see a few more rosellas and topknot pigeons, and even some king parrots once in a while. Black cockies were roosting in the bush across the street, but didn't get very close to the house.

Hi to Fatima, Alessa, Diva, lush and all the CC&BC gang. Hope to hear from a few of you soon.

Hi Pj and matina I'm off out for the day drs appts and shopping hubby and I are getting our eyes tested I need new glasses PJ we are going to Specsavers as well my optometrist of 20yrs is not working till next year due to covid so I hope Specsavers are good I've never been there they have 30% off single lenses so we'll see what the health fund pays I hope you are both ok matina stay cool hugs always xoxo take care everyone god bless

How are you doing today, matina? AC on? Hope your mother is well. It's fairly warm up here in the mountains today, but at 25 degrees, nothing that bothers me a lot. Sat outside in the backyard for a while, until the sun got a bit too hot. Just fed my cockies on their new and limited diet. Hoping for a few days without rain now. Hope my gutter cleaning guy will show up soon. That's my final maintenance worry.

Katy, hope your optometrist appointment goes well. I've used Specsavers at Katoomba since 2007 and have been very happy with their cheerful service. My recent technical problem has been that they (all except for one computer-savvy staff member) can't get my new HCF card to work. Somehow they don't enter the three digit number that HCF wants. Anyhow, good luck with it and with your shopping. I'll be over to my Katoomba place next week and will enjoy having 'upstairs' and 'downstairs' reading glasses! If that doesn't work, I may get a third $39 pair . . . and HCF will pay for them all!
