So I just wanna share that it was snowing today and my baby girl got her first look at snow. She was so excited about it despite the cold weather. I really love falling snow but not so much the grayish slug afterward..meh!

Stay warm and Covid-free!

Hey! I see! It's scorching summer in Australia for you! Well, it will be our turn to be envy when it's winter time for you. :) Does Australia winter have lots of snow?

Yeah, we were pretty worried she will be too cold but she seemed to enjoy herself in the snow. Lol.

Just wrote you all a nice, long, chatty message . . . and then somehow lost it all by changing tabs on my browser . . . sigh! Will start over again and hope my memory brings it all back.

matina, all OK here today after yesterday's Joe Blake dramas. Slow start to the day. Rishi is now asleep in her 'cat tunnel' and I think Sunnya is on guard duty out in the backyard. Only about 23 degrees up here but I'm watching out the western window for approaching thunderstorms. We had quite a number yesterday evening, continuing on after midnight, I think.

Katy, yes, you're unlikely to see ears poking up out of snow drifts down your way. But it was a cute picture. I still remember my fuzzies walking in the snow a couple of years ago, picking their way across the backyard and shaking their feet! My visitor turns out to have been a tiger and I was very proud of myself to be able, with Sunnya's help, to guide him/her out through the garage door towards the bush across the street. There's a pond there, about 100 metres away, and I'm told that this type likes water. Hope he decides to settle over their permanently!

hayeonj, I'll leave it to matina and Katy to tell you more about our upcoming Christmas weather. Last summer I think matina's top temperature was something like 45 degrees (113 F.) and Katy's slightly less. I'm living in a somewhat cooler place, up on a mountaintop, but it does get fairly warm up here during the summer months. I'll attach a photo at the end of this post. Please pass on any news of snow and/or cold weather. It's always much appreciated here at CC&BC.

Bye for now, everyone . . .

HELLO ALL!
PUB DAY OUT! (was very nice)
however seriously looking forward to our chiropractor appointments tomorrow afternoon.
have a friend popping around later on for coffee.
PJ next time let the professionals handle it. or use a shot gun! from a distance even with the head cut off the body doesn't stop moving till it gets cold enough. even dead DON'T TRY PICKING UP THE HEAD. we had a neighbour in the country who got bit by the snake he managed to slice its head off with the shovel he tourniquet his leg drove to hospital they gave the antivenin went home. it was still early evening during summer mind you he went back to the spot where it happened goes to pick up the head for a souvenir and either spasm or bad luck it closed over his thumb his wife found him dead with the snake head still attached to his thumb.
one of our dogs on our property was going mad barking and we all went to investigate he had found a snake in the middle of the vine rows he was running around in in circles not allowing it to move on after like 30 minutes of barking and it hissing trying to have a go at him Satan killed said brown snake (deadly as all get out) with a shovel cutting off his head. he grabbed the body of the snake and hung it on the end vine post he buried the snake head in an unknown location leaving me and my dog scruffy to watch the brown snake die wee sat and watched that thing writhe for hours till it got dark around 7pm every-time it moved scruffy barked at it he developed a unique hiss bark.
hayeonj if she is rugged up nice and warm all should be well let her enjoy it. I only wish i was there to see it too. i don't get any snow where i am it is always hot (not happy)
be safe everyone and god bless you all happy holidays!
tell folks you love them.

I SWEAR. THE TRAFFIC HERE IN THIS COUNTRY---- ARRRGH.
Unfortunately, I feel so drained. And it also rained HARD.

BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT. OMG. Senior Citizen's Christmas Party was so fun to attend to! I really am close to the oldies haha. Maybe because I have an 'old soul' they say. Even the music I grew up listening to were oldies. ANYWAY, it was a lot of laughs and prizes! The party's sponsors gave Christmas groceries and cash prizes on raffles. Of course, I'm not included in them but it was still fun and got a bit emotional seeing their faces happy and enjoying the event. Amidst this pandemic, and losing some of the oldies who had passed. I'm glad that even for just a day, the oldies were able to celebrate with their friends. And also even if we moved cities earlier this year, the parents still felt included.

pj
- That's a bit sad ... I'll go with you if I'm living there. --- I guess, I'm doing this because what if I wouldn't reach that age? Then at the least, I was able to experience it. And I'm damn glad I did! Buuut, if you'll be with your friends then that's okay as well. As long as you enjoy catching up with them and meeting them. :)

matina
- Uh oh. No hard drinks or alcohol allowed. ^^
We drank iced tea with lunch. It was around lunchtime so there..
There were dancing! I loved dancing in my seat! Haha!
Some of the songs were oldies remixed. Those danceable remixes. Like 'Rock Around the Clock', 'Let's Twist Again'. And a bunch of songs from the '70s-'80s. It was a lovely event.

And now I sleep. That's all for now guys! Be safe! Happy Christmas! x

P.S. Half of our country just experienced one of the worst typhoons in our history. (It was a Super Typhoon-Haiyan like devastation) :(
(I would like to ask for prayers for those who were affected. Thank you so much. Most of my fellow countrymen would spend Christmas on Evacuation Centers because their houses were either flooded or wiped out..)

matina, I had a nice talk with my niece last night and when I got up this morning found a few snow pictures in my mailbox! The one above shows her two children enjoying the snow on Sunday morning. More later.

Katy, all very quiet here today. I guess we didn't get as much of the big storm as elsewhere, but it was very, very windy. Just received a text from Katoomba Specsavers telling me that my second pair of reading glass is ready to pick up. Hope yours arrive soon. Enjoy your outing today . . . I have a tele-appointment with my GP this afternoon and then am going out and picking up water at the North Leura Spring.

sol, I've been reading about the terrible typhoon and sending my prayers. I hope everyone can recover soon. I can hardly imagine what it must have been like and how it is now for those in the evacuation centres just at Christmas. Feeling very lucky to live where I do, and grateful that our recent bushfires haven't returned.

Bye for now, everyone . . .

- still watching the evening news, and it's still difficult to reach the affected areas. Roads are still blocked with fallen debris such as trees, lamp posts, electric posts, and even roofs of houses and the houses itself. :(

I collaged these images from the internet from news reports..

Thank you for your prayers.

matina, I've been out in the sun for a bit longer today, in my somewhat overgrown backyard, because the recent blood test showed that my vitamin D levels are still low, despite my vitamin D tablets, which I've been taking religiously. 25 degrees and sunny right now, with a nice breeze. Do you have your massage today? Whatever . . . hope your day is a good one.

Katy, the meeting in the middle of the tunnel never turns out well. A lot of hissing results and one fuzzy comes flying back out of the tunnel! Sounds like you're 'enjoying' a rather hot day. I have my AC on too and just arranged to pick up my 2nd pair of reading glasses at the Katoomba Specavers tomorrow afternoon. Am trying to decide where I'll position each pair . . . or maybe I'll need a 3rd pair. With my HCF credit, I can get a 3rd pair for only $19.

sol, once again, so sorry to hear about the disaster in your country. Sending more prayers. Hope everyone recovers as soon as possible.

Will say goodbye for now . . . take care, everyone . . .
