HELLO ALL!
PJ yes it i very nice to have that closeness even when your so far away, it is the same for us we are closer to our family in Greece than the family we have here i barely ever get to see or hear from my cousins here. where as the others over seas if we haven't hear from each other in a bout a week we always get in touch. the ones here i send them celebratory texts for birthdays nameday etc all i get back is thanks and none of them remember mine or my mums. :( :( :(
any way we have had a LONG EXHAUSTING DAY!
We are finally home and it is time for dinner 2 minute noodles and an omelette. we both got our flu vaccinations and the 3rd booster shot of novovax first 2 were moderna Dr wanted to mix it up a bit so all good.
i am so tired and exhausted after all the errands if anyone even looks at me tomorrow and Thursday to make me move i will kill them. Friday hairdressers then home.
time to go put my feet up. GP said to continue with pain killers for the time being go to the chiropractor he thinks it maybe my neck bringing on my headaches, :? :? oh and the obvious fall back if they know nothing is STRESS manage my stress. :?
well he doesn't live my live or know what is involved easier said than done.

I snapped this photo (above) from my car in North Leura, just after I picked up my free spring water.

matina, so sorry about your long and exhausting day, but am glad that you and your mother got your booster and flu shots. Now I hope you'll have two days of rest and that your headache will completely disappear for good.

My back deck repair guy has texted that he'll stop by tomorrow afternoon, to give me a quote. (From the photo I texted him, he said it was the kind of job he does.) So I'm looking forward to that. Sink still working perfectly, so all is well.

Quite a few nice autumn leaves are now emerging. Photo below was taken from where my spring is located . . .

Morning everyone :D

Hi Pj boy did we get smashed last night with a storm  tree branches everywhere what a mess :? Are you ok did you get any rain :? yet it's sunny now not a cloud in the sky :D I'm watching the council mulch all the trees branches etc atleast they're quick on the clean up around here :D no flooding so that's a plus for now :D how did you get on about the dishwasher , pity they don't have some sort of mesh or metal hoses so the furry pests don't chew thru :( matina I'm getting my flu jab next week I hope I don't get your reaction :( :( rest up xoxoxo
God bless everyone :D

matina, sure hope you're enjoying a home day today, and having a good rest, free of headaches. Quiet here. Waiting for my back deck waterproofing guy now. Nice and sunny.

Katy, that storm hit us hard last night, with lots of wind. I watched it coming from the west on the weather radar. My friend in Lithgow texted me a warning! It didn't last very long and didn't bring a lot of rain, but it sure was windy. Got a bit of a thunderstorm and then it was gone. Has cooled off quite a bit now, and apparently will start going down to 5 degrees or so at night. So autumn is here. Glad to hear how quick your Council is, in cleaning things up. Looks like you live in a good local government area. Yes, I had the thought of asking the dishwasher guy if he could install a really tough, hard-to-chew hose!

PS: Waterproofing guy has now come and gone. $2150 for the job. I asked if he'd offer a 'cash discount' and he dropped down to $2000. However, I have to wait until June. He's a local guy, in his early 40s, living just down the road from me.

matina, how are you today? Hope you're feeling better. Sending lots of 'get well soon' wishes!

Katy, yes, that's my backyard Wollemi pine . . . which I planted about ten years ago. It seems to be doing very well, just beyond the edge of my patio, where Sunnya likes to sit. I'm pretty happy with the quoted price for the clear membrane waterproofing. Pulling up the whole deck would have cost between $13,000 and $14,000. I got two quotes for that. This work comes with a ten year warranty and that should be enough for me. Glad to hear that you have a friendly local coffee shop owner. After 15 years in Leura, I've got to know a lot of the shopkeepers here, and it makes all the difference.

Diva, oh no! Hope you can get some rest!

Bye for now, everyone . . .

Matina, hey =)

You made my (awesome!) avatar and sent me WRZ$, back when I was really new and didn't know my way around mobilism. You were so very kind to me, who was a total stranger to you. I've always remembered that kindness. I've also paid that kindness forward, a few times now, by donating to others who are new on mobilism.

Just wanted you to know that you're appreciated, your kindness isn't forgotten, and that I hope you feel better soon.

Much love.
Get Well Soon.

Day 2 still feeling like death warmed over chesty cough with disgusting yellowy dark thick phlegm coming up cant lie down coughing fits. Dr got me onto antibiotics asap i thought maybe covid but he said covid has no phlegm especially that colour :? :? :? told me to save my rats test for another time. had 2 very long nasty nose bleeds last night (required a ice pack to both back of the neck and forehead and generally hardly any sleep i slept on the recliner in the lounge, i think it has saved my life more than once keeps me elevated enough to sleep without the coughing fits. around 3 am i went to try and sleep in my own bed but nope lungs were not having a bar of it. :( :( :( :( it is our Easter this weekend so we are both going to be home bound and on our own :( :( :(
PJ thank you for the pm's and emails always nice chatting with you.
Kathy i hope you had a nice day out, sounds like you did it is always nice when shop owners appreciate their regulars and as PJ said it always makes a huge difference.
be safe everyone and god bless and be with you all

matina, sounds terrible! Hope tonight is a better night for you! But I guess it's better than covid, since covid would come with all kinds of isolation requirements for seven days and you'd be a problem for your mother. I'm guessing that the antibiotics will fix you up pretty quickly, maybe in time for your Easter.

Below is one of the photos I took on today's little walk in South Leura. Just out of the photo, to the left, is my house, but it wouldn't be visible through the gum trees.

ZombieCarol, matina created my avatar too! I'm still very happy with it.

matina, I love my avatar WAY too much to ever change it. But thanks for the offer! =)
(I'm thrilled you still remember me, btw.) I'm really awkward with computers/tech, so it was nice to have you help me out. Actually, everyone here has been very patient any time I've messed up with posting, contests, requests, etc. It's a nice community.
I really hope you feel better soon. Big hugs!!

pjmpjm, that rose avatar is lovely!

Have a great day, everyone! :D

Hi, everyone!

I’m tired of doctors and hospitals. Covid-19 cases have been on the rise over here, with about 1,000 new cases each day. Miss the days when it was just a dozen cases or less. People seem to be getting careless with sanitation and not washing their hands often. The mandatory rule of mask wearing in public is still in place and everyone obeys that rule but it doesn’t seem to be helping much lately. Trying to stay away from big crowds and the hospital unless I have to go see the docs or have to go for some tests. Latest tests were for glucose levels, x-rays of lungs and right shoulder (shoulder and upper arm hurt from a couple of falls I had in the past month or so) and a lung ultrasound to rule out any infection in the lungs (all clear :) )

I’ve had a busy week so taking the next few days to relax and enjoy the warm dry weather. It’s going to be 31C today after many days of low 20’s+rain, so it’s nice. Woke up too early. Time for a nap. Have a great day!
