Katy, it was a bit misty up last night, but no real rain. Cloudy and quite cool this morning. Gray skies and wintry. I didn't walk far yesterday, but didn't have to . . . beautiful views of the Jamison Valley so close to my house. Fuzzies are fine. I almost made a new appointment for Rishi, for her regular blood test, but since it stresses her out, have decided to wait until her standing appointment in the middle of May. Have the central heating turned on, and Sunnya is lying on one of the heating vents, as is her habit.

Alessa, I know exactly how you're feeling. I had more than a year of it in late 2018 and throughout 2019 . . . but I'm sure you'll be through this period of your life soon, and be back to normal soon. Good to hear from you.

matina, very much hoping that you're feeling better today. Please let us know when you can. OK here and have enjoyed a bit of sunshine on and off . . . sat out in my backyard for a while with Sunnya. When the sun goes in, it's a bit too cool, though. Guess autumn is really here now, and winter not too far away. Wondering if we'll get snow this winter.

Katy, we missed last night's rain. It sprinkled a bit but hasn't really rained this morning. So glad for that. Sunnya sits for a while on the heating vent, until her bottom and underparts are just right, and then moves on. Rishi almost never does this. Last night I had a small fire going. Must order some firewood soon. I'm using the two bags I bought for $15 each at Woolies the other day. Sunnya really, really loves a good fire!

Fatima, thanks again for the great picture of Ruma. Hope she's soon in her new home.

Kathy thank you for the good wishes I am feeling minutely better but still coughing up a lung I am wondering just how many i have because i cant take much more of this my solar plexus have have the work out of their lives. ribs hurt throat is still red raw like i have swallowed a grater. I have had 4 blood noses my inner ears are bloated from all the fluid there like i'm underwater. my balance is shot to all hell! eyes are like they are on fire and looking through a waterfall if that's at all possible and yet it is i am on tissue box number 4 mum has now started tissue box number 1 and is half way through. all my bones are achy and i am just so lethargic and every breath seems like an mammoth effort. oh and not to mention that I had to order incontinence pads because of the endless coughing fits, i got sick and tired of changing my unmentionables. ;-( i have officially hit the down hill side of my fifties now
PJ nice pics as always fire i don't want to hear it every window and door is open to ventilate and let in the cool air. i am glen 20ing everything and room in the house like a whirling dervish (no offense meant) even with my currently compromised balance issue. to no avail.

matina, I've had Vertigo for a while now: it's genetic in my case. I take "Vertin" to help my balance issues. I also have problems with inner ear inflammations, and that was caused by a mild lactose intolerance, as it turns out. Could you maybe look into "Vertin", and ask your doctor if that might help the balance issues?!

I usually take "Benadryl" for coughs.

I've had mild allergic reactions, which compounded over time. Maybe get an allergy test done?!

Anyhow, I've no idea what your health challenges are, but I thought I would throw out what worked for me...just in case it helps.

It's hotter/nastier than Satan's armpit today, here in India. Please send me cool thoughts and wishes.

matina, hope you're feeling at least a bit better this evening. And your mother and little Snowy too. I'm OK here in my mountain house and having a quiet evening. Didn't light my fire, and have the central heating on low. Took two naps today and did some reading. I also took a little walk (see above photo).

ZombieCarol, as I've told Diva, I once spent three months living in India, partly in Rajasthan and partly in Tamil Nadu (and Pondicherry). I still remember my 1972 Christmas in Pondicherry.

Good day, all!

It’s a warm, sunny morning and I’m enjoying it even though it’s supposed to go up to 31C today. It feels cooler in my room as usual, so it’s nice. Got 2 doctor appointments next week plus a visit to the dentist. Hate getting my teeth fixed, not to mention the sound of the drilling.

Matina, I hope you, your mom and Snowy are recuperating well. Hate being sick!

Zombie carol, I’ve been having some balance problems but it’s being caused by the Raid plug-ins I’ve been using to keep the bloodsucking mosquitoes away from my room and living room. Yes, you should get an allergy test and find out what’s causing your allergies. I have Psoriasis like matina and feel itchy multiple times during the day/night. I take Allegra but it doesn’t help much.

Katy, a quiet Sunday here with lots of sunshine. I sat out in the backyard again with Sunnya, and picked up my required daily dose of Vitamin D! Smaller birds (all rosellas right now, as far as I can see) are finishing up the birdseed on the front deck. Sunnya has been watching them carefully, as usual. Rishi seems OK, and fairly normal, so I'm not going to make her an early vet appointment. She's continuing her steroid, a half pill on a reduced dose.

Alessa, hope you're soon back to normal. I have my regular GP checkup next week and only need to see my cardiologist in June. Have been putting off the dentist since long before Christmas. Glad it's cooler in your room.

Wow, you've travelled a lot in India. I've travelled more outside India than inside, but I hope to rectify that in the coming years. I'm especially looking forward to visiting Rajasthan. I've heard they do great "Camel Tours", where you ride about in camel caravans and camp out in the desert in tents.

kathlyn, the summers here get brutal. It's (sadly) funny for me, because I've suffered through extremes: I've lived in the volcanic heat of tropics, and I've been frozen into an icicle in Tundra winters. I don't like either extreme. I hope to find a happy middle one day. =P

Alessa9... Huh! Vertigo issues from mosquito repellent! One never knows what will sneak up on you and attack your immune system. My allergies were mild, so it took years of exposure and low-level sickness before it clicked that it's the allergies that are compounding and harming me.
