Hello, Awesome People.
Hot as Hades here, still. Brain is melting. But I'm still trying to read when I can.
Reading a Contemporary Romance now, but it's kind of a drag. I feel like YA Romance, or just YA in general, is a lot better. I think Matina had mentioned that she reads YA, too. (Idealism, in fiction, is better suited to the very young.)
What's going on with everyone today?
Sorry, I'll make more sense, and leave better messages on here, once I'm not being roasted alive!!!
Hugs!

Hi
Hey zombie carol aw you poor thing i feel your pain I hate hate the heat
so I won't tell you that we're getting a really cold snap of weather coming our way
Good morning Pj a beautiful sunny day outside were enjoying coffee in the sun simple pleasures
I think of you and sunnya doing the same
I was talking to one of the market gardeners out back of our house they're winter veges all went bad because of the rain he said he's lost a lot of money and now had to dig it all up very sad for them such a nice family
matina always in our thought's I hope you continue to improve its a nasty flu let's hope you've got some immunity after all this hugs xoxo
God bless

God bless
How are you today, matina? Hope you had a good sleep, with no coughing. Sunny on and off here today, and I was out in my backyard with Sunnya for a while. (Rishi was asleep under the covers.)
Katy, nice to hear about your breakfast coffee out in the sun. Sorry about your neighbouring farmers. I sometimes hear similar things from the farmers out in the Hartley Valley who deliver my organic vegies every Tuesday. Not easy being a farmer. Anyhow, it's supposed to get colder but no forecast any more periods of weeks of rain. Fingers crossed.
ZombieCarol, I sympathise with your problems with the heat. In fact, when I began to plan my retirement, the cooler climate of the Blue Mountains is why I moved up here. As the years went on, I less and less appreciated the climate of Sydney. (When I was younger I actually worked up in tropical Darwin and the heat didn't bother me at all.) I look forward to sharing some snow pictures with you (and matina) in a few months' time!

news on the horizon 2 new sub variants of omicron covid virus more highly contagious obviously brought in as a very special import with incoming travelers, we also have a horrible flue virus to contend with this year i for one can attest to that one. oh and special news they are expecting a measles outbreak! LORD HELP US ALL! why doesn't government invest in buying everyone a climate controlled hazmat suit because we are all heading this way. cheaper than all the rats tests pcr tests the lock downs the masks etc etc

matina, such good news! Hope you continue to improve. How is your mother doing? Took this shot from my back deck at about 12 noon today. Enjoyed lots of sunshine, but it's cooled off now and got a bit cloudy. Should have taken some photos of the sunset, but I had a nice nap instead. Nothing to worry about until Friday afternoon, when I see my registrar GP, but I'm not worried about that either. Will have her scan my back and shoulders and neck again, for any more 'black spots' or etc. Looking forward to a quiet evening now. Fuzzies are well.

matina, hope you slept well last night. Am sure you're on the home stretch now. Above is where Sunnya was waiting for me this morning, on one of her favourite seats on the patio.
Katy, rain overnight up here, but sunny this morning. Coolish, but nice autumn weather. Tomorrow my registrar GP will check everything on my head, neck, shoulders and back. I have one spot, in particular, that seems to need attention. But I'm really not too worried. Fuzzies are fine. Both seem bright today and have good appetites.
Hi to all the CC&BC regulars . . . bye for now.

HELLO ALL!
KATHY PCR test came back negative (lady said to us even if it was positive we had already served the 7 day isolation period) & considering it was day 16 when they did the test there was no issue of being house bound other than the fact we don't feel up to going out. I drove mum to the shops as we were running low on everything. got home and crashed napped for 2 and a half hours. cough doesn't want to leave me, however my voice decided to leave me as it wasn't going to accept living with that cough any longer. ;-(
PJ beautiful pictures as always, lovely cool weather here too and i am loving it.
Sol honey
yes anxiety is a bitch with capital letters,
have you tried breathing exercises? i try to do them and if that doesn't work yeah you may laugh but i look at hot men in kilts works wonders for me
oh and another thing that helps me is this i will give you both versions of this prayer it has helped me countless times.

my favoutrite
oldngold

an if you think men in kilts cant help regulate your breathing think again
You did the right thing to reach out always know we are here for you doing nothing about it and keeping to your self is the enemy in things like mental health so always reach out and ask for help congratulations for being strong enough and vulnerable enough to reach out and ask for help. I Feel better soon honey god be with you.
be safe everyone and god bless and be with you all, ask a friend or neighbour if they are ok or if they need help, we are all human and all imperfect.
time for me to go rest i am feeling sleepy again

matina, so glad to hear that your PCR came back negative. Though, as you say, it might not have mattered. I started to look at the pictures you attached, but immediately began coughing violently -- so looked away quickly. I might stick with the breathing exercises. My mysterious neck 'black spot' came back 'negative' for anything bad, but the doc wants to test the one on my shin again, because the pathology lab says she cut through the outer edge of whatever it was . . . and my previous doctor had explained that to me, that you have to remove the whole thing. She's 99% sure it's nothing, but asked if I wanted to come back for another scrape and test, just to be on the safe side and I said, 'Sure. You can't beat the price!' Nice woman, in her early 30s, from Manly, who is spending her first winter in the Blue Mountains. She'll remain working at our local medical centre until August and then continue her training elsewhere. Later I had a nice chat and a cappuccino with my Lithgow friend at the Savoy in Katoomba and then made my way home for a pleasant nap. Fire is blazing away in the fireplace because it's now 6 degrees -- and may even go down to 1 after midnight. Guess winter is nearly here!
Katy, when I bought this house in 2007, I put up the same colourbond fence that I'd had in The Hills area, which I know Persian cats can't climb. And so it's been. Neither Rishi nor Sunnya has ever shown any interest in climbing anything, much less the fence, so I know they're safe in the backyard. But, a continuing mystery, Rishi rarely ventures outdoors. I've never figured out why. Found my old 'computer cup' from the 1980s the other day, while tidying up, and have started using it again. It's supposed to save your keyboard from coffee! That little bookshop I photographed is such a good idea. I hope it survives. I'm not going to be a very good customer, though, because of Mobi . . . so many great books here for free. But I really love the idea of little bookshops.
sol, more good wishes flying your way . . . hope you're feeling better today.
Bye for now, everyone . . .
