matina, I started searching through my photos for 'angel pictures' and the above was my first hit! Still don't know where I took the photo of that amazing mural. Will keep looking. Hoping you're feeling better today.

Katy, it's been raining on and off up here, but isn't as cold as the past few days. But not a day to be out and about. I have to pick up a few things at the supermarket and health food shop, but that's it. Not going far in this dreary weather.

sol, always good to hear from you. Stop by when you can. Mobi is such a good daily occupation for me, and I especially love the 'Show Me Yours' photo contest. Books and reading . . . what would our lives be without that? Anyhow, sending good wishes. We're having national elections here too, and pre-poll voting started yesterday, with one poll site right across the street from my optometrists.

Below was the scene on my front deck a couple of hours ago . . . no voting . . . just eating . . .

HELLO ALL!
we went out did a small shop and picked up Chinese food for lunch yummy.
Kathy how is the family and grandchildren? loving this cool weather. yes well when we make them we do big batches it is a n easy meal to take out reheat add veges or salad to it and you have a quick nutritious meal.
PJ you must try and find out perhaps ask around when your out and about someone should know because of the angelic nature of the piece I'm thinking perhaps a chapel /coffee shop or even hospital/drs waiting room. It is an outstanding piece very talented indeed!
I have reached a plateau in my health/recovery the cough is still there voice is still not good and otherwise feeling ok no fever no other symptoms apart from feeling weak after the marathon flu of 3 weeks and counting ;-( not happy at all.
we have all sent in our postal votes i am glad to be done with them.
SOL you can pm me anytime i am sorry i should have replied to you in private i just assumed you would check the thread again, I am so sorry i am normally better at returning and pm folks but since i have not been well i have lapsed alot in this area with alot of friends ;-(my apologies I hope you are feeling better and that we are all blessed to have mobi for all our entertainment needs and friends are never far away.

Some nice autumn leaves along my driveway . . .

matina, am still trying to track down that angel mural. It doesn't look at all familiar to me. The red chairs are my best clue. So glad to hear that you're feeling better.

matina, here's a photo of my new firewood that was delivered on Monday, a day earlier than expected. There's more stacked on the veranda. I should be good now for a couple of months. Hope your voice is starting to come back today. Let us know. Rishi is sleeping in this morning, on the foot of the bed . . . very cosy.

Katy, hope your grandson enjoys his outing. I've noticed more visitors around here over the past weeks, but don't know if everything is open. Scenic World, with its steep railway line and gondola out over the valley, is always a big drawcard. I think Jenolan Caves is also open, but that's another 40 or so minutes further west from my house. I imagine you've now brought your daughter her lunch . . . hope you enjoy your time together!

Have just finished feeding my birds, so will sign off now. Lots of good wishes to all the CC&BC people . . .

HELLO ALL!
Kathy enjoy your lunch with your daughter and the use of her dryer ;-)
PJ nice pictures as always and yes the chairs are the key to solving this mural mystery perhaps download the pic on your phone and when your out and about next time ask around you never know you may get lucky. I sure hope you find it and get a better picture of it without the chairs it is an amazing piece the best i have seen in a long time. Considering i cant stand for long periods of time or walk distances it has been a while since i have visited the galleries etc but the mural is outstanding as the artist is local and has had to do it all freehand and in a public setting. Its spectacular! after looking at it and blowing it up there is a flower there too so it is almost like the story of Jesus from his conception by his mother from the flower and the angelic messenger and the river of Jordan baptism and the death and the resurrection and gods eye in the back ground i still think for such an in depth religious piece like that either a church chapel or even hospital chapel or maternity ward too the mural must have been commissioned to reflect that content for a reason. library in the religious section perhaps. but wow it is a stunning piece every-time i look at it i find something new in it. A VERY TALENTED ARTIST INDEED!!!
SOL I hope you are feeling better just remember what makes us anxious now wont by tomorrow just breathe and watch all the youtube videos of kilt yoga always helps me

Hi chickens - quick bit of dog porn

Image

The lovely Rio, adopted so quickly we only had time for one walk - omg she was beautiful and a joy to walk, brilliant around other dogs and, amazingly, an Akita, a Japanese fighting dog, just goes to show the damage that man can do to these gorgeous dogs.

matina, hope things are continuing to improve. All OK here, although it's 12 degrees and rainy. Beautiful autumn leaves. I have a package waiting at the PO, so might go out this afternoon and pick it up.

Katy, nice to hear about the Katoomba outing for your grandson. It would have been raining on and off and quite cool, but the views are spectacular in any weather. Weather clearing tomorrow, so I hear. Not much else to report.

Hi to all the CC&BC gang . . .

HELLO ALL!
PROOF OF LIFE still no better.
managed to get the GP to promise to pop in after work he thinks i may need a chest xray and that it is a different type of infection for it not to clear up after 3 courses of antibiotics. Problem is no one will let you in the door if you have a cough;-( I hope he doesn't forget.

matina, hope your GP showed up. Let us know. Yes, I agree. Three courses of antibiotics should have done the trick.

All OK here. I went out and voted in Katoomba! Met two of my friends handing out how-to-vote cards and had a nice chat (even though I didn't vote for their candidate). Still raining, but it's supposed to clear up tomorrow.

Lots of autumn leaves in my backyard now . . .

matina, how are you feeling today? Are you out for a pub lunch with your mum? Hope so. You deserve to start feeling a lot better now. Am sure the new antibiotics will help. Sunnya was keeping me company in the backyard this morning, while Rishi slept in, under the covers.

Katy, I think that was what I call a 'Japanese maple' . . . very plentiful around here. I have several in my yard and they always get nice and red and orange. My 'real' maple (a so-called 'Red Maple' or 'Canadian Maple') has already shed all its leaves. It never seems to get really red. I think it needs colder weather. Has partly cleared off up here and we had some sun this morning. I was able to sit out in the backyard for a while. When I start to fret about my back deck and necessary repairs, I remember those poor people up north. So very sad.
