My new, large downpipe runs directly from the top story roof down into the underground drain, bypassing the intermediary patio roof. Should cut out potential drips during torrential rain and keep Sunnya nice and dry while she watches the backyard.
Stretton, that's a good way to remember Saskatchewan's spelling! In tutoring English, I taught students various little tricks . . . but spelling Saskatchewan here in Oz isn't usually a problem unless you're a big Joni Mitchell fan.
matina, what are you doing today? Having a rest? Hope so. I keep remembering that my repairs are all done, and keep getting a warm, happy glow! Oh, joy! Blood test due today over in Katoomba and then tomorrow I'll drive over for a cappuccino with my friend. Not an exciting life, but I'll take it . . .
Katy, my nearly 24 year old grandson is about six feet, just slightly taller than his father. I was taller than my own father, but am now more or less a dwarf! Rishi and Sunnya settled down in the evening yesterday and entirely forgot their scary day hiding under the stairs and under the bed. In fact, both slept in this morning. It's supposedly up to 9 degrees here right now, but feels colder with the wind. So I didn't go out in my backyard. Sitting here, enjoying my house!
