matina, hope your Saturday is a good one. Rain here overnight, then a bit of sun this morning, and now the clouds have rolled in again. Central heating on, though, and all is nice and warm in the house. Fuzzies seem healthy and happy. Hope your walking is improving.

Katy, I'll take it easy with my garage cleaning today. No hurry and I might even throw some stuff away. It was 15 years ago that I packed everything into boxes and gradually moved up to the mountains from Dural, where I'd lived for nearly 40 years. Lots of boxes! But I don't need to touch them . . . just have to clear the clutter all around the perimeters and uncover my workbench! I thought I'd had my years of medical records transferred up to the mountains from Dural, and then from my first medical centre to my present one, but I learned the hard way after 2018 that you have to take charge of your own medical records. Either details aren't there or else the doctors just skim over the high points. I think for many older people, having a son or daughter do this organisation is the only answer. Eventually, it just gets to be too much. So I have three of those blue folder-books, the ones with multiple transparent pages/evelopes, where you can slip the records into them, and it's like a book. I don't know what they're called. The top page of my most recent book lists on my (many) current medicines. Then come my major illnesses, etc., since 2018, all summarised in a simple way, so it can be read in less than a minute. My current young doctor was very impressed when I showed him!

HELLO ALL!
HOME DAY but i managed with mothers help to clear out 1 side of my clothes closet, now need another year to get the energy to do the rest ;-)
Yes i find that destroying anyone's medical history abhorrent and negligible. medical practices and hospitals are just lazy, these are things that people need access too and hell we get census forms every so often to garner information just like this, concerning immigration vaccinations etc it floors me to think that newspapers and high school photos etc are saved and year books etc but not a persons medical records. It should be illegal to do so even if a patient has died other family members may need to view them. why wasn't medicare collecting peoples vaccination records making it compulsory for every vaccination a certificate be issued to hospital medicare council and the person getting vaccinated so at least one may be able to access them some where. this is why there is so much unemployment in the world because no one company or government department does their job efficiently to update and store records and data on things like this.
anyway i am persistent and will try with my hometowns council and hospital hoping i get something. fingers toes and eyes crossed.
PJ your doing the right thing i too have kept records of my important stuff and i regularly update my medications list etc at least after moving too our current residence i have only seen one Dr so at least the last 30 years i have only to look in one spot., but it is the childhood ones i am after the vaccinations etc and when they were done etc that have now been destroyed because folks are bloody lazy as. the ones i remember being done at my high school were actually organised and given by the local council the high school just provided the venue. so weather this was even given to l medical practice whose to know??
Kathy with some of these so called non existent diseases all of a sudden coming back one needs to know if you have been vaccinated or not. yes you can do blood tests etc hell i don't even know if it is bulk billed or you have to pay for the serology of anti bodies. I will be having a chat to my current GP about how to go about it and how much it will cost if anything and if it only for a specific disease or you can get a blood test to find out all the vaccinations one has had.
time for coffee and a relaxing afternoon on the couch
be safe everyone and god bless and be with you all

Halfway through my workbench cleanup . . . now I can stand in front of it and tidy it up more . . . maybe tomorrow. Threw a lot of stuff out, but more has to go. The recently repaired laundry and extra toilet, on the other side of the wall, looks good and won't (I sincerely hope) ever leak again, from the back deck.

matina, good job on the closet cleaning. That's another task on my long list of places to clean out. You really have your hands full with medical concerns. At least I only have to worry about myself. My son is really too far away to help much, unless I go into the hospital again . . . God forbid! Well, I worked hard this afternoon, so I think I deserve a little nap. Are you going to head out for a pub lunch tomorrow? Hope you'll have a good day.

Hi

PJ your garage looks fairly organised, is there a story to the number plates on the wall :? Atleast your not opposed to throwing things out :? I have to supervise when hubby does his shed garage it never seems to look any emptier I swear he finds things to add to it :D I'm praying the sun's stays out otherwise my yard won't get done next week :? How are the fuzzies doing :D
Matina are you off to lunch, we're doing a BBQ with the kids if the rain stays away :) otherwise a quiet Sunday be well everyone :)

matina, I'm guessing that you and your mother are at the pub right now, enjoying lunch. Hope so. Sun has been in and out today. Sunnya and I were sitting in the backyard, but the clouds rolled in and it was just too cold. A bit more garage tidying planned for this afternoon . . .

Katy, two of the other corners of my garage don't look quite so good. I have all those paint cans to either throw away or store, and I don't know what I'll do with all the cleaning cloths. More under the workbench to be explored. I sure found a lot of interesting things I didn't know I had! One number plate (the smaller) is from my son's first (and last) motorcycle . . . when he had a crash in Pennant Hills and emerged totally uninjured. Will never forget that day. The other is from my brother, from a Chevrolet back in the late 1960s. Hope you enjoy your barbecue!

Another cleanup in my garage this afternoon. Above picture shows the west side, but there's still much more to be thrown away on the middle shelves. Unwanted books are going to the little library at our local train station. Rishi's toilet facilities are at the bottom of the shot.

matina, glad you had a nice pub lunch. Hope you're now enjoying your nap!

Katy, the rain held off up here, so I trust that your barbecue went ahead as planned.

matina, are you having a quiet home day? No rain here, but it's cool and cloudy. Doesn't feel like spring. Have been watching my birds, which included a beautiful king parrot. All seeds gone now and nearly all birds! I made such good progress on my garage cleaning over the past two days that I'm going to give it a miss today and head over to the supermarket for some milk and perishables.

Katy, I have only three shovels. But just out of the shot to the right, I have three spades. Then I have a couple of digging tools, not very large, and (somewhere) a hoe. Sledge hammers, wood splitters, etc. aren't in that picture! You never know when you might need things like that! Glad to hear that you enjoyed your family barbecue yesterday.

Bye for now, everyone . . .

HELLO ALL!
I HATE THE SUN! Yesterday was sunny and 21 degrees today it is colder but its yesterdays weather that has inflamed my poor old bones and i woke up stiff and sore all over today especially in the neck.
Electricians came today and put in a new double power point in mothers bedroom and changed 2 sensor lights one out door drive way and one in the carport $1349 with an hour and a half of labour 1 electrician and one apprentice. I checked with Bunnings the sensor lights are $99 a piece, just how much for a bit of electrical cable and a double power point. so these companies are used for the home-package team that comply with government regulations and they are supposed to protect the elderly :? :? :? more like rip them off blind!
PJ goodluck with the garage clean out
KATHY you managed to smuggle left overs out (well done)

matina, that does sound like a lot for a powerpoint and a couple of outdoor lights. Sounds like they know that the government will pay and they don't have to answer to the customer! Photo above the chipper/shredder I'm going to sell. Have never used it for years now. Fire going . . . quiet evening here.

Morning

Hi Pj you should get a good price for the shredder it looks in good condition :D 25c today I fear winter is slowly trying to end :( how are the fuzzies :? is your bushwalking friend on any of his walks I find him amazing on where he goes even with bad knees :D off to the post-office to pick up some packages I ordered some solar lights online for the garden out back when it's finished :)
Wow matina for that price they could've rewired the whole house   yet no one is there to argue the cost as Pj says government money :? they seem to get away with ripping off the elderly and the disabled, where are the so called managers of these things and why are they getting away with bad decisions as you've experienced I just am speechless I guess :( :( enjoy your massage today :) god bless everyone :D

matina, hope you're enjoying a nice massage today. Windy up here, with the sun coming in and out. I tried to sit out in the backyard, but when the clouds rolled in, it was just too chilly. Sun's back now and I've fed my birds. Last night I gave Sunnya and Rishi a brush and a trim. Sunnya needs a bit more today. Both seem to be in good health now.

Katy, my friend is amazing. I really don't know how he gets around on those knees. At least he carries a personal beacon, as well as his mobile phone. (The latter doesn't always get a signal on some of his remote walks.) Anyhow, he loves what he does and I guess that's what counts . . . not the constant worry about safety. Hope you get your packages today. I'm waiting on Amazon Australia for a new lead for my Fire Reader. I want to have an extra, just in case. I think they'll deliver by courier, to my door.

Greetings to all the CC&BC people. Hope you're all well. Bye for now . . .
