I'm sure he will! I've been to Sydney many, many, many years ago, but it was during the summer, so it was a bit hot. Compared to here in Brazil, I'd say about the same. I do need to go back, I have some family over there, it's just a matter of saving the money. The problem is saving the money

matina, hope you have a good weekend and maybe a nice pub lunch tomorrow. My table saw was picked up half an hour ago, and now I have even more space in my garage. Photo above shows my Maine lobster buoy collection and cat carry cages. Next will come new shelves, better storage of all my paint cans, and the gradual throwing out of even more stuff . . . but I've made a good start.

Katy, your new pathway is great! Can't wait to see photos of your pots and plants (not pot plants, I hope). Yes, raining and cold here. 4 degrees this morning and the online site said 'feels like 0.3 degrees' . . . not spring yet! Sunnya definitely has the right idea in this kind of weather! (Rishi is still sleeping in, as of 1:30 pm, under the covers!)

Luke, good to hear all your news. You've done well! Can we ask for photos of your cat and your dog? I thought matina might remember you from the old days.

kizsledge, welcome aboard! I'm currently reading Anatomy of a Beast: Obsession and Myth on the Trail of Bigfoot by Michael McLeod.

HELLO ALL!
@LUKEDAP well you have been busy! good luck on submitting your dissertation yes holidays are nice and yes saving the money is a very key issue especially when there is none left after the necessities of life
@KATHY the pathway looks great and don't listen to PJ pot plants are awesome and one can legally have 4 each so between you and hubby 8 pot plants will be more than enough to cover that area and they are hearty indeed     very good for pain relief i am on my way so add another 4 for me too.
@PJ I'm so glad you got all that cleaned up so are you planning on catching any lobsters because i am so IN!  well you only need 3 good cat cages 1 each for the girls and an extra one in case one of them breaks so the rest can go too. Just be careful and don't over do it.
My aunt was just taken to hospital via ambulance now we wait to hear news :( :( :(
I had Satan duty today it went badly as usual :? :? :?
He has a tooth ache but wont go to the dentist because he doesn't want to lay down in the dentist chairs as his back hurts.  He says every-time i go there she asks me if i am taking any tablets and i say yes and she send me home. :? I said to him she wants to know if your taking any heart medication and the like which you don't.
Yes i do he says
really i say where? he gets up in a tiff,
I will show you so he comes back with 2 empty panamax boxes 1 96 panadol box empty 1 proxen box empty and one full one and dumps them on the table before me.
See he says :? :? :? so i ask
"which ones are for the heart and blood pressure and which one is for cholesterol which one for diabetes?
There he says all of them. so I say to him
well that's news to me because you don't have any of those conditions no doctor has prescribed any of those medications for you so how can you be taking them?? :? :? :?
he starts yelling "I don't know what your talking about your crazy, your driving me crazy"
I told him to stop taking too many pain killers I tried to take some away from him but he grabbed them and ran into the house to hide his stash. He is scoffing pain killers like they are candy. he has obviously gone and gotten more pain killers than what we had given him so i can keep an eye on what and how much he is taking that was more than obvious from all the empty boxes he dumped on the table in front of me. :o  :? :( :( :(
I just got up and walked away with him screaming at me
why do you want to steal my tablets etc etc i got in the car and drove off nothing else i can do. shitty day!
Be safe everyone and god bless and be with you all and tell folks you love them.(try not to kill the ones you don't)
Time for an Irish coffee heavy on the IRISH!

And here's Ezra:

(That one is from today, he's clearly very proud of himself)

Are you renovating your garage? Also, how's the weather over there? Here it was almost 30C yesterday, tomorrow it's gonna be 10C. Southern Hemisphere things or just a Brazil thing? Oh, and Moo, the pig, looks absolutely adorable!

Matina, thank you!!! Yeah, I don't want be a Debbie Downer, but at the moment, the economy just isn't good and it's about to get worse around here, so I'm just thankful we've got everything we need.

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt, do you have any more news? How is she doing? And whoooaaaa, what's Satan duty? I don't know who that man is, but that's just... insane. Nothing beats hypochondria mixed with paranoia and stubbornness, right?

Agreed on the pot plants! Go for it, Kathy! I hate smoking, though, so I stick to edibles only. Much healthier and it really helps with anxiety.

Anyway, I've just sent my dissertation, my wife is visiting my cousin (they're friends and she's helping my cousin with her wedding - which is next week) and I'm alone with the fur kids, so time to chill and look for more books. :D

matina, hope you've had a nice Sunday pub lunch. Just received a text from my son. Hope to talk to him later today. His next koala survey job is in Tenterfield, up in northern NSW. In fact, he's driving down there this afternoon. I don't know how long or where he'll be saying, but the University usually arranges accommodation for the survey team. Hope to get some photos from him, although since the work is at night, it's usually hard to document what they're doing. As usual, he'll be flying the drone.

Katy, I'm including (below) an old picture of one of my Japanese maples to show Luke what we're talking about. I inherited quite a few of them in my backyard when I bought this house. Hope you've enjoyed your outing today with your daughter. 8 degrees and rainy up here today, but feels colder. Rishi is currently lying on my knees, just behind my laptop, which helps . . .

Luke! Thanks for the photos! You have some wonderful companions! In past years I've posted quite a few shots of my two Persians here at CC&BC, and will try to take some new ones in the future. I've been doing a major cleanout of my garage, after having repairs done on the adjacent laundry and toilet. Have made some good progress, but I'll have to keep going for some time yet.

Bye for now, everyone . . .

PJ i hope you have had a nice day today. NO pub lunch for us today, our family friend Daryl came around and broke 12 tiles in mums room and now he is going to visit his son and 2 grandchildren. my homework now is to find tiles that will suit to be layed in mum's room read for her to get her electric bed. :o  PJ IS MOO EATING A RAINBOW CAKE!!!!????? SPOILED MUCH!!!
KATHY i know you had an awesome time i hope the men enjoyed themselves today they deserve it.
My aunty was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon she and her daughter spent most of the night in emergency department she couldn't move or speak or swallow and only in the early hours this morning around 6.30am she was taken to a ward she is now up and talking and moving, but cant remember what happened in the last 48 hours. I know when folks are almost on their final days they get a day or 2 of feeling great then they regress and pass quickly. its a horrible time for everyone the whole extended family are just exhausted and stressed.
well time for me to sit on the couch and relax i helped take out the broken tiles and clean up im exhausted i over did it and i am sooo feeling it my injured knee is giving me short sharp ice pick stabs. Time for some advil and a big glass of water.
be safe every one take care and tell folks you love them

matina, sending you lots of good wishes today. Please keep in touch. 9 degrees and sun coming and going, so I tried to sit out in the backyard with Sunnya for a while. But the clouds rolled in and I gave up.

Katy, Moo is a 'she' and she's got bigger and bigger. Because she's a great escape artist, my son finally had to build her a special enclosure next to her house, one that she can't 'undermine' or push over. I still don't know how long my son will be working in Tenterfield. I hope to talk to him today. He usually sleeps from about 9 am until 3 pm or so, having worked all night. Good luck with your washing and chores today. Just put in a load of washing myself.

matina, sending more good wishes today, to you and your family and your aunty. Fairly cool today, so my sit out in the backyard with Sunnya was short.

Katy, great azaleas! Thanks for the photo. Glad they survived. Mine are doing well. I inherited so many flowers in my front and back gardens, especially rhodos. I'm very lucky. Yes, my brother has left four (so far) wonderful grandchildren. Still hope that my older two nephews will find the right girls. Both are in their early 40s.

Rishi took a shine to my black-and-white cushions and was rolling around while I tried to get a good shot last night.

Took a long-distance shot of Sunnya, so as not to disturb her, but when I zoomed and cropped it came out a bit fuzzy . . .
